Laverton (Japanese: ラベルトン Laberthon) is a captain in Begnion's Imperial Occupation Army in Daein. He led the Begnion forces in control of Terin, in the Free State of Marado, during one of the first battles of Micaiah's Daein Liberation Army. His attempts to use the threat of killing hostages to force Micaiah to stand down backfired when this instead provoked Fiona, formerly an ally, to fight back to save her people.
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
Role
Laverton is the boss of the second stage of Part I, Chapter 6, and acts as the commander of the Occupying Army units in this chapter. The objective of the second stage is to defeat Laverton.

Personality
Laverton is a dishonest, unscrupulous coward, as not only was he willing to murder civilians if it meant convincing his enemies to lay down their arms, but once he got his way he was willing to kill the civilians anyway simply because he had no need for them.[1] On the other hand, he quite vocally did not like being called on his dishonorable behavior by Micaiah, or her questioning about whether this was acceptable conduct for a Begnion knight.[2] Even before she turned on him, he did not trust Fiona or her knights at all, as a result of how the Marado territory did not come to the aid of their own country during the Mad King's War.[3]
