Four-Fanged Offense (Japanese: 四牙襲来 Four Fang Attack) is the twenty-third chapter of Eliwood's tale and twenty-fourth of Hector's tale in Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade. To play Lloyd's version of this chapter, the combined levels of all lords must be 49 or lower.
Plot

Four-Fanged Offense (Lloyd)/Script (Eliwood) and Four-Fanged Offense (Lloyd)/Script (Hector)
Eliwood and company infiltrate Bern disguised as simple travelers. One of the villages on the Bern–Lycia border is abuzz with anticipation for Prince Zephiel's coming-of-age ceremony. To gain more information about the Shrine of Seals, Pent and Louise depart to Bern's royal manse for an audience with Queen Hellene; if Hawkeye gives them a Heaven Seal to give to the Lords when the time is right.
Lloyd and Linus Reed meet Nino and talk about their work; Nino wants to see them again after their job is done. After Nino leaves to run her errand for Sonia, the Reed brothers remark that Nino is a nice girl, and it is hard to believe that she is Sonia's daughter.
Legault or Hector suggests inquiring in town about the Black Fang, which they do; Lyn and Hector banter with each other while they investigate, while Eliwood complains that he cannot tell whether Lyn and Hector like each other or not, to Ninian's amusement. Hector states that he and Lyn are leaving Eliwood and Ninian behind, while Lyn states that was the point.
The Reed brothers find Eliwood. Lloyd tells Linus to report to Brendan that they have found Eliwood and to bring reinforcements; Linus protests that the two of them could easily take Eliwood, but Lloyd is cautious, as Eliwood has survived so many ordeals already. After Linus departs, Lloyd sends a henchman to taunt Eliwood and lure him towards the fortress to the north.
Wallace arrives near a village to the northeast of the lords, complaining about his inability to find his way back to Caelin.
Jaffar arrives at the house where Nino awaits, covered in blood; he faints, and Nino begins nursing him back to health.
Once Lloyd has been defeated, Eliwood lowers his defense, giving Lloyd an opportunity to take Eliwood hostage. Lloyd's willingness to let the rest of Eliwood's friends go reminds Eliwood of Uhai; Eliwood tells Lloyd about his encounter with Uhai on the Dread Isle, and how Uhai and Lloyd both fought with honor. In response, Lloyd grants Eliwood a reprieve until he can investigate Sonia. He does not tell Eliwood his name, but he does tell Eliwood to watch out for Sonia.
The lords discuss the possibility of negotiation with the Black Fang; Eliwood believes that at least some of them are honorable, but Hector thinks negotiation is a terrible idea.
As Lloyd is returning to the Black Fang headquarters, Limstella sneaks up on him and kills him for his quintessence.
When Jaffar regains consciousness, he berates Nino for not letting him die, but does not prevent her from treating his wound when it begins to bleed again.
Linus finds Lloyd's body and swears vengeance on all of Eliwood's companions.
At Bern's royal manse, Queen Hellene greets Desmond, and they discuss Zephiel's coming-of-age ceremony. Desmond informs Hellene that the Fire Emblem has been stolen, and that the ceremony must be cancelled. Distraught, Hellene tells her guards that she will not see any visitors, but Louise comes in anyway. Hellene is glad to see her distant cousin, and to hear that Lord Pent is also there to help, so she tells Louise what the problem is.
That night, Pent and Louise return to Eliwood's camp and tell them that Hellene needs something found within the next ten days, and Eliwood agrees to this task.
Beginning log
Heeding the archsage Athos's advice, Eliwood/Hector sets out for Bern. Bern: the greatest military force on the continent. The Lycian League has always enjoyed close relations with the kingdom of Bern. Recently, however, King Desmond has begun to flaunt his military strength. Lycian nobles can no longer move freely within Bern's borders. Eliwood/Hector and his group enter the country in the guise of simple travelers.
