The Chaos of War

The Chaos of War (Japanese: 戦塵の帝都 Tumult of War at the Imperial Capital) is the eighteenth chapter of the Silver Snow route and the nineteenth chapter of the Verdant Wind route in Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

Plot

After spending the month preparing, the Alliance/Resistance army finally begins a direct siege of Enbarr. Edelgard sends Hubert and the Death Knight to defend the city streets, but Byleth and their companions emerge victorious and both are slain. After the battle, Claude/Seteth and Byleth prepare for the final assault on the Imperial palace. Dedue approaches them and gives them intel regarding the interior layout of the palace; he does not directly join the Alliance/Resistance army, intent on killing Edelgard by himself in order to avenge Dimitri and his loved ones. On the Verdant Wind route, Claude discusses his postwar aspirations with Byleth and explains he intends to unify Fódlan as one nation under one ruler.
