Castor (カシム, Kashim) is a hunter from Talys. He constantly seeks money to aid his poor family and ill mother, progressing from taking mercenary jobs to working with pirates to eventually becoming an outright swindler as the years pass.
I have a sick mother and younger brother back home, and must get money for them. When I heard this city had people who could hire me, I went this far without eating or drinking...
In his desperation for money, Castor took up work with the Galder pirates. He was approached by Caeda who, dismayed that a decent man like him had to work with pirates for gold, offered to give him enough money to aid his family. Touched by this generosity, Castor joined her in Marth's burgeoning army.

In the years since the War of Shadows, the death of his sister Leen in Port Warren, who had sold herself into slavery in her own attempt to raise money for her mother, had driven Castor to increased desperation in his efforts to find money. He became a swindler out of desperation to prevent this from happening to his family again, and eventually made his way to Macedon, where he encountered Marth. After giving him some of his own money, Castor rejoined Marth's army out of (possibly exaggerated) gratitude.
Castor had travelled to the Archanean capital on the prospect of finding a well-paying job, and was found there by Rickard, apparently dehydrated, swindling Rickard into giving him a drink. On hearing of the prospect of receiving significant amounts of gold, he eagerly joins Rickard and Lena's group to enter and rob the castle.

A Hunter by the name of Kashim is, for bow users, the fourth enemy in the arena of Chapter 7 of Genealogy of the Holy War, an obvious reference to this original Kashim.
