Plot
- Main article: Camus the Sable/Script
Before the siege of Grust, Nyna explains that Camus intervened on her behalf to prevent her from being executed by Dolhr and that she has fallen in love with him, then asks Marth to find a way to convince him to stand down. Despite Marth's best efforts, Camus refuses to yield, and is defeated and presumed dead. Marth does succeed in recruiting the Grustian general Lorenz, an old friend of Caeda's father. After the battle, Marth leaves Nyna to her grief.

Strategy
This section details unofficial strategies that may help with completion of the chapter. This may not work for everybody.
|
From this chapter onwards, enemies on H5 start packing brave weapons and enemy magic units start packing Thoron tomes. If you have any units who haven't promoted yet (with the possible exception of Est), it's time to either promote them or ditch them. The first stage of the battle is a fairly simple march to the west. That row of 4 forts might look like a good spot for enemy reinforcements to pop out of, but it's actually totally safe. Camus is the biggest problem on the map; he has 42 might with the Gradivus and 21 Speed to double all but the fastest units. The only unit who is likely to double him in return is Paladin Caeda. Weakening him with Longbows and Ballisticians is a good idea, and you can finish him with a hit from a forged Poleax. Lorenz is all right if you're hurting for good units, but doesn't do anything your old veterans can't.
Trivia
- This chapter is one of two in the story of the War of Shadows whose precise Japanese title differs between games (in this case, all three instances being slightly different from one another), the other being chapter 11.
