Lifis can also be trained to some degree though this can be quite a hassle due to his low bases and outside of novelty isn't highly recommended. Still, the reward can be quite fun as any unit in Thracia can be made reasonably good to some degree through the use of [[Crusader Scrolls]]. One practical reason for training Lifis does exist though, that being his 10% constitution growth and +1 [[Class change|promotion]] bonus allowing him to improve his ability to steal weapons. | Lifis can also be trained to some degree though this can be quite a hassle due to his low bases and outside of novelty isn't highly recommended. Analysis
This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience. |
Lifis joins the player as their first thief upon the conclusion of Chapter 2x. As the player's first thief Lifis' base stats are rather unimpressive compared to most other units available in the party, however much to the player's fortune Lifis is a utility-oriented unit in a very utility-oriented game.
As a thief Lifis possesses the ability to steal from foes, and the power of stealing is at an all-time high in Thracia. Lifis is capable of stealing any items and weapons that have less weight than he has constitution including equipped weapons provided he is faster than his target. Lifis' 10 base speed combined with his base constitution of six allows him to effectively disarm enemies with lightweight weapons by stealing them.
Additionally, Lifis' base constitution allows him to pilfer enemy mage's fire, thunder, and wind tomes. This is very useful as Lifis also offers the incredible boon of being the only unit from the first few chapters of the game outside of Leif that is also available throughout the entirety of the Munster Escape Arc arguably the hardest segment of the game. Your playable cast in this segment lacks magic and enemy mages are relatively frequent in appearance compared to earlier chapters making them dangerous threats. Not to mention the extra gold and equipment offered by his stealing.
Lifis can also be trained to some degree though this can be quite a hassle due to his low bases and outside of novelty isn't highly recommended. Still, the reward can be quite fun as any unit in Thracia can be made reasonably good to some degree through the use of Crusader Scrolls. One practical reason for training Lifis does exist though, that being his 10% constitution growth and +1 promotion bonus allowing him to improve his ability to steal weapons.
In conclusion, Lifis is a powerful unit in Thracia 776 for his unique mix of stats, class, and availability giving him a powerful niche that cements him as one of the game's most useful characters and a staple unit of just about any playthrough.

Endings
Lifis – Shy Thief
Lifis was one of the many to earn a post as a government official, and served as one for a short time before vanishing. During his time in office, the Kelbeth garrison wiped out the pirates still hiding in the Pirate Isles and other nearby islands. After that resounding victory, Lifis simply disappeared from the pages of history.
