— Brighton, to Ced
|
Brighton (Japanese: ブライトン Brighton) is a member of the Magi, working in rebellion against the Grannvale occupation of Munster, and a participant in Leif's liberation army along with his fellow Magi.
Role
In a Magi raid on Munster Castle's dungeon, Brighton was tasked by Ced with leading Machyua and Lara to clear out the lower levels and free the prisoners therein, while Ced and Asbel looked for child prisoners elsewhere. He assisted in ensuring Leif's escape from imprisonment in the dungeon, and along with the rest of the Magi was entrusted by Ced to join Leif's army.

Analysis
This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience.
|
Brighton is an axe cavalier who joins in chapter 4. However, he cannot use his axes until chapter 6, and remains swordlocked for most of the Munster arc. For the Munster arc, the most combat heavy part of the game, Brighton is very useful. His stats allow him to deal decent damage to the enemies, and on chapter 6, he can use his horse to rescue the foot units and escape quicker. However, his usefulness quickly falls off from here. His growth rates are pretty bad, even by Thracia standards, and another axe cavalier, Hicks, joins the chapter he unlocks his mount. In summary, Brighton is good for when he joins, but quickly falls off in usefulness. Hicks is a better option if you want a great knight, but he can fit the bill if you need an extra unit.
