The Hero-King

From Fire Emblem Wiki, your source on Fire Emblem information. By fans, for fans.

The Hero-King (Japanese: 英雄王 Hero King) is the fourteenth paralogue chapter of Fire Emblem Engage, unlocked upon the completion of Chapter 22. As a paralogue chapter, its events are not integral to the game's main storyline and can be done at the player's leisure. In this chapter, Alear takes on a challenge from Emblem Marth in a place familiar to him in order to deepen their bonds.

Plot

Main article: The Hero-King/Script

On an island off the coast of Firene, Marth and Alear encounter a castle that reminds the former of Altea Castle from his world. He tells Alear that he lost his home when Medeus and the Dolhr Empire attacked, and he was forced to escape. He tells that he was only able to regain his land by the help of allies like Caeda and Ogma, and that he fought for the sake of those that believed in him. Alear relates their own desires for peace to his, and he encourages them to keep their family and friends close to their heart. He then challenges Alear to a trial which will strengthen their bonds, which Alear accepts.

Alear manages to defeat Marth, who praises their hope and strength. He also tells them that their battle reminded him of his old friend, the Divine Dragon Tiki. He explains that he first met her when she had awoken from a long sleep, and had quickly become attached to him. Alear relates both to her divine dragon nature and their closeness to Marth. They thank Marth for standing by them, and he says he will always continue to do so.
