The Lonely Heir

The Lonely Heir (Japanese: 幼き皇女 Young Princess) is the third divine paralogue in Fire Emblem Engage, unlocked upon the completion of The Ancestor. As a divine paralogue chapter, its events are not integral to the game's main storyline and can be done at the player's leisure. In this chapter, Alear awakens Emblem Veronica from her bracelet in hopes of having her join their team. Veronica, on the other hand, hopes to have Alear join the Emblian army in order to bring the kingdom of Askr to ruin. In order to decide who joins the other's side, Alear and Veronica battle in a place familiar to the emblem.

Completing this chapter will unlock Veronica's Emblem Bracelet with the maximum bond level.
Level scaling data
This chapter's enemy units are subject to level scaling mechanisms that increase their levels as the player makes progress along the main story path. Initial unpromoted units who reach an effective level of 21 will become promoted units of level (effective level -20) unless otherwise stated.
When enemies become promoted, they become the following classes:
- Sword Fighter → Swordmaster
- Lance Fighter → Halberdier
- Axe Fighter → Berserker
- Mage → Sage
- Archer → Bow Knight
- Sword Armor and Lance Armor → General
- Sword Cavalier → Wolf Knight
- Lance Cavalier and Axe Cavalier → Paladin
- Sword Flier and Lance Flier → Griffin Knight
- Axe Flier → Wyvern Knight
Enemy weapons and items also change depending on their wielder's internal level from 1–15 → 16–20 → 21–30 → 31–40:

Lastly, all enemies on Maddening mode gain their class-based enemy-only skills when their internal level exceeds 41.

- This chapter may be based on the Preface and Book I Chapter 9 of Fire Emblem Heroes.
- Despite Veronica coming from a time period in Heroes after she made amends with the Askran Kingdom,[1] she expresses a desire to destroy it in this chapter.
