The Fell Dragon Sombron/Script
At Destinea Cathedral, Hortensia worries about whether her sister Ivy will return, and discusses her father's change in behavior with her retainer Rosado. Goldmary arrives with an Emblem Ring to give to Hortensia, relaying a message from Hyacinth that they are to prepare for battle. Alear and their army then arrive outside the cathedral. Before they enter, Marth warns them that they would not be ready to fight Sombron if the ritual has been completed, and that they should be ready to retreat at a moment's notice. Alear still decides to move in to rescue Morion, stating that having six of the twelve Emblem Rings will give them a significant advantage, and they express their gratitude and trust in Marth before moving in.
Inside the cathedral, Hyacinth greets the army and infers that Ivy had been killed in the previous battle, shocking Hortensia. Alear demands that he release Morion, then Alfred, Diamant, and Alcryst spot him behind the cathedral's altar. Hyacinth reveals that the ritual has already been completed, and that Morion has been transformed into a Corrupted. Marth urges Alear to call their army to retreat, but they, Diamant, and Alcryst refuse. In response, Hyacinth shuts the doors to the cathedral, and thanks Alear for bringing the Emblem Rings to him. Enraged, Alear commands their army to fight against Hyacinth. Alcryst and Alfred wish for a way to return Morion to normal, but Marth explains that he is truly dead. Diamant and Alear steel their resolve and prepare themselves to give Morion a proper death.
Alear's army succeeds in defeating Hyacinth's forces and manage to corner him. As Diamant is about to land the killing blow, the assassin who killed Lumera appears to save him. Sombron then arrives, and is welcomed by a very nervous Hyacinth. Hungry for more sovereign blood, Sombron transforms into a dragon and devours Hyacinth whole, leaving his Emblem Ring to fall to the ground. The assassin gloats, leading a horrified and angered Hortensia into knocking her hood off, revealing her to be a red-eyed Veyle. She then reveals herself to be Sombron's daughter, the Fell Princess. Left despondent, Alear asks how she could deceive them, only for her to state that she has never spoken with them.
Soon after, Zephia arrives and introduces herself as Sombron's servant. Together with her arrive the rest of the Four Hounds: Griss, Marni, and Mauvier. Alear loses patience and orders their army to engage with their Emblems and fight past them, but Veyle snatches all of them in an instant using the Draconic Time Crystal. Sombron then receives the six rings from her and recites each of their incantations, transforming them all into Dark Emblems, to Alear's horror. Vander urges Alear to retreat, while Veyle taunts them. Alear helplessly begs Veyle to give the rings back to them.

Strategy
This section details unofficial strategies that may help with completion of the chapter. This may not work for everybody. |

Before starting this chapter, you will receive a warning stating that once you begin, you won't be able to return to the Somniel until you complete a series of consecutive battles (chapters). Furthermore, if there are any skills or weapon proficiencies you want your units to inherit from your Emblems, do so now before beginning the chapter. After you complete this chapter, all of the Emblems (barring DLC) you obtained so far will be taken away from you, preventing your units from accessing their unique weapons and abilities, or inherit any available skills and proficiencies until you can gradually reclaim them again starting from Chapter 17.
