“ | This was ever my burden to bear. Father. No...you are just a traitor now. In light of your crimes against the Empire... The punishment is death! | ” | — Ferdinand |

Severing the Past is the thirteenth chapter of Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes on the Scarlet Blaze route.
Plot
- Main article:
Severing the Past/Script
As the former Duke Aegir prepares for battle with Edelgard, he laments how he never wanted to incite a civil war, notes that he would have stayed his hand had he been allowed power in her administration, and hopes that if he fails, Ferdinand is the one to cut him down. Meanwhile, Ferdinand blames himself for his father's actions and asks Edelgard for leave to join the front lines against him. The Black Eagles besiege Fort Merceus, kill Kronya, and overpower the former Duke Aegir. As the battle comes to a close, Ferdinand personally executes his father for his treasonous actions.
In the aftermath, Edelgard has finally restored order to Adrestia and wiped out the nobles opposed to her reign. Meanwhile, Count Bergliez has successfully prevented the Kingdom from launching a counterattack to take advantage of the Empire's temporary loss of momentum. With matters in the Empire settled, Edelgard prepares to finish the fight with Faerghus. Meanwhile, Hubert worries about how Thales remains at large. Shez is forced to accept that they are not likely to get answers about their past, and turns their attention to the battles ahead.

Map Data
There are 8 battle maps in Chapter 13 of Scarlet Blaze. Each one is detailed below. The chapter's final map is Reclaiming Fort Merceus, available after completing either Take Down the Scouts or Break Through to the Fortress. Peacekeeping in Fenja has a quest restriction blocking you from switching between units during the battle.
Strategy
This section details unofficial strategies that may help with completion of the chapter. This may not work for everybody. |
