A Clash of Ambitions is one possible fourteenth chapter of Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes on the Scarlet Blaze route. It is reached if the player previously recruited Byleth and Jeralt in Chapter 10.
Plot

Edelgard decides to link directly up with Alliance forces and attack Galatea territory from the east. Meanwhile, Rhea convinces Dimitri to aid her in retaking Garreg Mach Monastery from the Empire in the hopes of scoring a decisive moral victory. The two agree to sneak into the monastery through Ailell, the Valley of Torment. Claude correctly deduces their strategy, and Edelgard elects to face the Kingdom and Church head-on in Ailell. The Empire and Alliance defeat the Kingdom and Church in a brutal battle, forcing Dimitri to flee. In the aftermath, Claude departs to pursue Dimitri, and Edelgard orders Shez and Byleth to follow him so that the Empire can be the ones to apprehend him. Edelgard wonders why Rhea was not present during the battle. Ferdinand realizes there must be a hidden passage from Ailell to Garreg Mach, and that the monastery is in danger as they speak. Edelgard hastens to their rescue. As Shez and Byleth continue their pursuit, Shez suddenly declares in Arval's voice that "the time has finally come" and attacks Byleth.
