Fire Emblem Gaiden

The Hexlock Shield (Japanese: 魔封じの盾 Magic Sealing Shield) is an accessory item in the shield category of equipment that debuted in Fire Emblem Gaiden. In Gaiden, the Hexlock Shield, while equipped, serves to reduce the accuracy of magic attacks against the holder to 10%; Echoes: Shadows of Valentia instead has the Hexlock Shield boost the holder's Resistance by 7 points while equipped, and allows it to take half damage against enemy black magic spells.

In Shadows of Valentia, the Hexlock Shield's effect of halving incoming magic damage can stack with the Dread Fighter's Apotrope skill, resulting in a total of 75% reduction in incoming magic damage.
