A Son's Journal (Japanese: 息子の日記 Boy's Journal) is a quest item that debuted in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia.
It is found in the Dragon Shrine. A boy from the Mountain Village went off to the shrine to resurrect his father, and his worried mother asks Celica to rescue him. The final page of the journal contains the boy's last thoughts, expressing regret for going on his quest and reassuring his mother before his writing cuts off. Celica can obtain it and show it to his mother.
