The Sword Swings Wide/Script
As Dimitri discusses the new state of the war with his retainers, Claude and the Federation make use of the Almyran navy to invade Faerghus via sea. The Federation's movements provoke Sreng into launching a renewed assault on Kingdom borders, just as Claude planned. Realizing that Claude means to march straight for Fhirdiad, Duke Felix of Fraldarius and his father Rodrigue march to intercept him. The Federation overwhelms the Kingdom and defeats Felix and Rodrigue, but Margrave Gautier arrives and sacrifices himself so that they can retreat. In the aftermath, Claude praises Margrave Gautier, laments the sacrifices that the war will necessitate, and renews his desire to march for Fhirdiad. Margrave Gautier's son Sylvain hears of his death, inherits his title, and swears revenge on the Federation.
