Meanwhile, a foreign swordswoman named Athena prepares to battle the pirates to repay the villagers for nursing her back to health after she washed up on their shores. The village elders convince her to wait until Marth and his army arrive before undertaking such reckless actions. Sure enough, Marth arrives, and with Athena's aid, the village is liberated and the pirates slain. Afterwards, Athena decides to accompany Marth on his journey.
