Damas (Japanese: ダマス Damasu) is the leader of a group of bandits from Mount Bolm during the onset of the Disturbance of Bern.[1] A lowly bandit from Lycia, he and his band decide to take advantage of Pherae's low defenses, attacking the castle and the adjacent villages.[2]
He manages to strike a village before Roy's group arrives; however, instead of running away, Damas refuses to pass up this opportunity of making gold, and orders his men to attack the reinforcements; resulting in his defeat by Roy's forces.

Trivia
- Damas has an unused color scheme for his battle sprites that is never seen in normal gameplay, as it is incorrectly assigned to be used as a promoted unit.[4]
- A prerelease screenshot showed that Damas was originally in the Brigand class, before it was changed to the Fighter class in the final game.

Damas is an uncommon surname, seen in Spanish and French-speaking countries.[5] Other sources suggest it is a Greek name for boys, meaning "subduer".[6] |
