Damas (Japanese: ダマスDamasu) is the leader of the bandits from Mount Bolm[1] and the boss of the first chapter of Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade. A lowly bandit from Lycia, he and his band decide to take advantage of Pherae's low defense, attacking the castle and the adjacent villages.[2]
Heh. Even Eliwood, the greatest knight in Lycia, is no match for an illness, it seems.

He manages to strike a village before Roy's group arrives; however, instead of running away, Damas refuses to pass up this opportunity of making gold, and orders his men to attack the reinforcements.

Stats
Stats with two figures separated by a ~ are presented as a range, representing stats that vary due to random growths. The figures to the left and right of the ~ are the stat's minimum and maximum possible values respectively.[3]
Damas has an unused color scheme for his battle sprites that is never seen in normal gameplay, as it is incorrectly assigned to be used as a promoted unit.[4]
A prerelease screenshot showed that Damas was originally in the Brigand class, before it was changed to the Fighter class in the final game.

You were right when you said there wouldn't be many soldiers. They're all getting reading to defend against Bern! Damas: Of course I was right, I'm always right, you fool. But reinforcements could be here any minute. All right, you curs, listen up! Kill everyone in the castle while we still got time! Then we can waltz outta here with all the loot." — Damas and a bandit, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
