The Wind Edge (Japanese: 風切りの剣 Wind-Cutter Sword) is a sword appearing exclusively in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. It is the first and most basic of the Radiant Dawn series of enhanced-range swords that are capable of flinging shockwaves to attack foes at 2 range as well as being able to fight at the standard melee range of most other swords. In exchange for its enhanced range, its might is mediocre, and it is quite heavy and lacking in accuracy.
Although it hurls a blast of wind to attack at range, it is not actually a magic sword in that it does not use the user's magic stat or target the enemy's resistance, but sticks with strength and defense instead.
