Woodlands Encounter

Woodlands Encounter (Japanese: 出会い Encounter) is the second chapter of Fire Emblem Warriors. During this chapter, Rowan and Lianna are making their way to the temple when they encounter strangers from another world: the Shepherds of Ylisse. More advanced features like the Weapons Triangle and Pair Up are also introduced.

Plot

Rowan and Lianna, still mourning the sudden loss of their mother, are steadily making their way to the temple. As Darios offers words of encouragement, something catches Rowan's attention, causing him to slip down the hill in an attempt to examine it. Coming to, Rowan wakes to see himself at the feet of two strangers, Chrom and Lissa, who introduce themselves as the Shepherds from the Halidom of Ylisse. Lianna hastily comes to Rowan side and scolds him for running off, before noticing the Shepherds and introducing her and her brother as the princess and prince of Aytolis. After explaining their situation to the Shepherds, Chrom agrees to help them. However Frederick is wary of helping strangers outright, and purposes a test for them to prove their words. Every agrees to the mock battle, with Chrom and Lissa siding themselves with the Aytolisians.

During the battle, Lissa finds herself surrounded by swordsmen. Suddenly a young man shows up on the cliff overhead, shouting in an over dramatic fashion. He introduces himself as Owain Dark, and claims he wishes to protect Lissa for reasons he will not disclose. He then jumps to attack the swordsmen, only to miss spectacularly.

After the battle, Frederick admits he still holds doubts against the Aytolisians, but is willing to put them aside to help them. Chrom suggests they make camp for the night, with Frederick offering the bear he killed as supper. Lianna is shocked to learn that most of her new companions have actually eaten bear before.

Summary

Heeding their mother's last words, the twins head for the temple. But a chance encounter and a trial await them in the forest.

  • 2 Soldiers will appear in the south, towards the middle.
• After defeating 2 of the 4 enemies required for the mission "Defeat the reinforcements!"
