Clash at the World Tree/Script
Tiki senses that the Chaos Dragon is heading in a certain direction, which Caeda realizes is towards the World Tree. Tiki believes that he wants to destroy the spirit of the Divine Dragon that sleeps there, with Rowan and Lianna saying they should go after him. Oboro arrives reporting that Outrealm Portals spouting Outrealm Fiends have appeared across Aytolis. The party decides to head straight for the World Tree. Once there, they encounter a vast number of enemies, to which Robin admits it is difficult to strategize against. Lianna apologizes for bringing all their allies to an apparently doomed fight, but Navarre, Caeda, and Marth all affirm that they choose to fight alongside them, with Corrin, Hinoka, and Camilla voicing their support as well. Rowan then rallies everyone to battle, with Lianna joining in.
During the battle, the party fights to defeat the enemies blocking the way to Velezark. In an attempt to deter them, some Shadows appear that match the appearance and movement of some of the Aytolisian forces, including one of the twins. Despite this, the party is able to overcome their counterparts and reach Velezark. As Rowan and Lianna attempt to challenge the Chaos Dragon directly however, he teleports them and their allies to the inside of an Outrealm Portal. Despite their strange and unfamiliar surroundings, the twins remain determined to defeat the dragon.
Summary
After a short reunion with their mother, the twins learn that the Chaos Dragon is heading for the World Tree. For the world and for Darios, the twins take up their blades against overwhelming odds.

Reinforcements
- Shortly into the battle:
- The two Sages will start casting lightning on the southern part of the map.
- After a minute into the battle:
- Falcon Knights will indefinitely spawn in SE Ruins while under Chaos Forces. After 2 minutes between waves, if any are defeated, more Falcon Knights will spawn. Up to two can exist at once.
- After clearing the mission "Seize either fort on the way to the Chaos Dragon!"
- Shadows of your current second, third, and fourth deployed characters (with current costumes) will appear, each south of N Branch Fort, N Tree Fort, and NE Ruins respectively. They will have Steel weapons instead of their currently equipped ones.
- The three Outrealm Fiends in their place will also retreat if they're not already defeated.
- After defeating one of the Shadows:
- About two minutes after the Outrealm Sentries appear:
- Outrealm Fiends will indefinitely spawn at each Outrealm Portal. They all spawn simultaneously after over two minutes between waves.
- Both Outrealm Fiends must be defeated before more can be spawned. Up to two can exist at once, one per portal.
- If there is only one portal, it will continue to spawn independently even if the other's Outrealm Fiend is still alive.
- After clearing the mission "Defeat Mages to dispel the Wall of Darkness!":
- A Shadow of either Rowan or Lianna, the one chosen at the beginning, will appear in Great Tree.
- 2 Outrealm Fiends will appear with them. The one already there will retreat if it hasn't already been defeated.
- After approaching Rowan's Shadow as any character OR Lianna's Shadow as Lianna:
- The 3 Shadows of your characters from earlier will appear around Great Tree.
Boss data
The final Shadow will take the form of the twin who was chosen at the beginning, either Rowan or Lianna. Unlike the other Shadows, the class and appearance for the boss is fixed.

Strategy
This section details unofficial strategies that may help with completion of the chapter. This may not work for everybody. |
Due to the nature of how the Shadows reflect the current deployed characters, this chapter is ideal for farming character materials, especially for the ones obtained exclusively though downloadable content.
Trivia
- Lianna's version of this chapter appears to be bugged: her Shadow is not properly assigned to be the Captain of Great Tree, leaving it unable to be viewed in the Forts menu and technically unable to be seized (however the chapter ends with the player defeating the Shadow, leaving it inconsequential in gameplay).
- Unlike Rowan's version, the second wave of Shadows only appears should the player approach Lianna's Shadow as Lianna herself instead of any character. This in effect makes Rowan the more optimal choice in the beginning should the player desire to use this chapter for material farming during the long term of playing Fire Emblem Warriors.
