Plot
- Main article: Hero-King of the Desert/Script
As the group starts discussing where to find heroes, Lianna is reminded of the swordsman who helped them against some Outrealm Fiends. Darios recalls the swordsman's name being Marth, which surprises Chrom, stating it couldn't possibly be the Hero-King of legend. Robin admits it's a better lead than nothing and Cordelia volunteers to find some information about Marth. A short time later, Cordelia returns successful in her search, causing both Lianna and Chrom to praise her. After recovering from the latter's comment, Cordelia continues by stating the the Gristonne army in the desert has recently hired a mercenary that matched the description provided by the twins. Darios wonders if his father is behind the Gristonne army's sudden aggressiveness and suggests they investigate.
After a long battle in the desert, the group is able to reach Marth inside the arena. Rowan tries talking to him, only for Marth to draw his Falchion without saying a word. Chrom steps forward, drawing his own Falchion, and begins to battle Marth. During the duel, Chrom asks Marth who taught him swordplay, with the masked swordsman simply replying his father.
Once Marth is defeated, the masked swordsman asks if he can join the Aytolisian forces. He continues by saying he joined the Gristonne army after learning Validar was recently recruited by them, learning that they plan to perform a ceremony at the Dragon's Table. Lianna wonders if they plan to revive the Chaos Dragon which concerns Darios. After explaining the whole situation to Marth, Rowan exclaims he must a Gleamstone as well. Marth however states they should instead focus on stopping Validar, to which Darios agrees.
Summary
As the twins struggle to take in so much information, they hear of a mercenary named Marth working for the Gristonne army. They head for the desert to learn this mercenary's true identity.

Trivia
- The cutscene that plays during this chapter is a recreation of the cutscene that plays during the chapter Two Falchions from Awakening. Warriors's cutscene is fittingly named "Two Falchions Redux" to emphasize this.
- Coincidentally, both cutscenes are seen during the fourth chapter of their respected games.
