For the battalion, see Bandits. For the character from The Sacred Stones, see Bandit (character).
Not to be confused with the similar Brigand class.

The Bandit (Japanese: バンデット Bandit) is a base infantry class introduced in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, appearing exclusively in it and Radiant Dawn. They are an axe-wielding, enemy-only class, and act as a replacement for other enemy-only axe classes from earlier Fire Emblem series games such as the Barbarian, Brigand and Pirate. Like these classes, they have an easier time crossing certain rough terrain: they are the only non-flying class able to cross bodies of water, while in Radiant Dawn they also have an easier time crossing desert sands than most infantry classes.

Bandits have similar stats to the earlier enemy-only axe classes, with very high strength and HP, as well as decent speed. However, not only do they suffer from the traditional poor skill stat of axe-wielding classes, which along with the low accuracy of axes gives them poor hit rates, but they are also affected by poor defense and resistance, with their high HP failing to do much to mitigate this. This makes them risky to fight carelessly but relatively easy to quickly damage and defeat.

In Path of Radiance Bandits are able to promote to the Berserker class, although since there are no playable Bandits the player cannot do this without hacking the game.[1] In Radiant Dawn, they have no known promotion options, since the Berserker is not present in the game at all.
