The Thunder Sage (Japanese: 雷の賢者サンダーセイジ Thunder Sage) is an advanced magical class which is exclusive to Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. The class is one of Radiant Dawn's element-specialized versions of the Sage class of other Fire Emblem series games, along with the Fire Sage, Wind Sage, Light Sage and Dark Sage. It is the promoted form of the Thunder Mage class, and as its name suggests, it specializes in thunder magic while also being able to use fire magic and wind magic. Thunder Sages, in turn, promote to the Arch Sage class.

The class's stats are very similar to the other Sage classes of Radiant Dawn, with high magic, skill and speed, and as a result the class's members deal in pure magical offense. A Thunder Sage's mastery of fire magic also allows them to be particularly effective against dragon tribe laguz and members of the Dracoknight class family. However, like all Sage variants, they are frail owing to their low HP and defense.

Thunder Sage

A sage is a wise person, or a powerful magic user (common in fiction).

Officially romanized as Thunder Sage. In Radiant Dawn, all Japanese class names are spelled primarily in kanji (i.e. 雷の賢者), with a foreign-language name in katakana applied as furigana (i.e. サンダーセイジ) and used as the basis for the romanized name in the class roll.
