The Wind Sage (Japanese: 風の賢者ウインドセイジ Wind Sage) is an advanced magical class which is exclusive to Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. The class is one of Radiant Dawn's element-specialized versions of the Sage class of other Fire Emblem series games, along with the Fire Sage, Thunder Sage, Light Sage and Dark Sage. It is, at least hypothetically, the promoted form of the Wind Mage class, and as its name suggests, it specializes in wind magic while also being able to use fire magic and thunder magic. Wind Sages, in turn, promote to the Arch Sage class.

The class's stats are very similar to the other Sage classes of Radiant Dawn, with high magic, skill and speed, and as a result the class's members deal in pure magical offense. The low weight of wind tomes leads to Wind Sages tending to be the nimblest of the Sage variants, gaining superior attack speed and avoid from its being relatively unhindered by its weapons. A Wind Sage's mastery of wind magic allows them to be particularly effective against flyers and bird-type laguz. However, like all Sage variants, they are frail owing to their low HP and defense.

Trivia

• Soren's attire as a Wind Sage in Radiant Dawn closely resembles his attire as a Sage in Path of Radiance, albeit with a blue color scheme in the former game instead of the purple color seen in the latter game.
• The attire (excluding the cap) worn by generic Wind, Fire, and Thunder Sages resembles Pelleas's attire as a Dark Sage, though recolored.
