Invoke (Japanese: イリュージョン Illusion) is a white magic spell exclusive to Fire Emblem Gaiden and its remake, Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. Available to the game's three default Clerics/Saints, it summons a random number of generic reinforcement allies called Illusions to assist the caster's allies. These Illusions are not directly controlled by the player and instead are moved by the computer; in Gaiden, they move at the beginning of the player phase, while in Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, they move during ally phase. Illusions disappear after the battle is over. Each user of the spell summons a different class of Illusion—Silque summons Dread Fighters, Genny summons Soldiers, and Tatiana summons Pegasus Knights.
