Welcome to Ostia Square, Fire Emblem Wiki's community page. Here you can propose changes, ask for help, etc.

If you want up-to-date discussions about FE Wiki, add '''zt-yusei''' ([[User:Yusei|Yusei]]'s skype handle), '''malake256''', or '''tacopill''' and tell them you are from FE Wiki.. Add them and they will add you to the group.
I have archived the old community page to [[Fire_Emblem_Wiki:Ostia_Square/Archive 1]] to make this a bit more pretty. The archive has a bunch of old details that do not apply anymore.
:As time goes on, there are more active people in the Skype group. It may be more useful to ask '''hyperllamalord''', '''brandedone13''' or '''seritinajii''' if you'd like to join. We'd love to have you chat with us. :) [[User:BrandedOne|BrandedOne]] 07:03, 20 July 2011 (EDT)

The [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RG4SFAjczVg Music Compilation video] from 2021 names Chapter 6 as Inheritors of Light. === Oppose ===
=== Anglicized Name Updates? (06/16/18) ===

=== Neutral/Undecided ===
With the Fire Emblem Heroes: Choose Your Legends Page in existence, this seems like a good opportunity to update names on the wiki to their anglicized versions rather than the direct translations from NoJ? I think the inconsistencies can be confusing to newcomers (such as Ryan's page being Raian while Clarisse's page is still Clarisse despite her Kleine NoJ designation). While the CYL website isn't perfect, it seems sensible to use anglicized names where possible on the wiki to me. If Clarisse was listed as Clarisse on the CYL site, formerly referred to as Kleine, and then we updated her name once she arrived in Heroes under the name Clarisse, could we not use that as an indicator that what anglicized names exist on the CYL website should be treated as valid, official English translations?
:I'm pretty sure the reason we don't use the CYL names is that there are inconsistencies between that and actual ''Heroes'' text. Like, with [[Thea]], she's called Thite on the CYL website and Thea in one of Shanna's written quotes. [[User:Xamad|Xamad]] ([[User talk:Xamad|talk]]) 16:02, 16 June 2018 (UTC)
::But would it not make sense to use the most up to date information possible? I.E. CYL1 may have called her Thite, but then Shanna's post-release quote referring to her as Thea would be considered overriding. It's just oddly jarring to me when we have evidence of anglicized names (such as "Ryan") but stick to the NoJ translations until the character physically shows up in Heroes. In Thite/Thea's case, we have the NoJ Thite and we know it's romanized that way, but then we received information via Heroes that her name is Thea. In Raian/Ryan's case, we know NoJ uses "Raian" as the romanized name but CYL lists an even more anglicized name, verifying that it should be Ryan. While CYL doesn't always show the anglicized name, it just makes sense to me to update those names which are veritably different from the NoJ romanizations. Of course this is why I'm asking; I have some history edits for characters I'm thinking of but I'd like to be consistent with how the wiki pursues it. :) [[User:Ferronier|Ferronier]]

*First off, there's a typo in your [[Special:Interwiki|interwiki data]] for SmashWiki -- two slashes.
*Your [[MediaWiki:Sitenotice|sitenotice]] was causing the text to be bumped around in weird ways for me as a logged-out user. Admittedly my computer and monitor are running behind standard right now, but I just thought you should be aware.
*One of your anti-spambot questions has a rather obvious error -- there are two Smash games with Marth, yes, but "both" is incorrect as there are three Smash games, one of which contains no Fire Emblem material whatsoever.
*I mentioned this to the staff on NIWA, but I recommend adapting content from [http://www.ssbwiki.com/Help:Contents SmashWiki's help section]; especially important are things like a [http://www.ssbwiki.com/SmashWiki:Privacy_policy privacy policy] and a [http://www.ssbwiki.com/SmashWiki:General_disclaimer general disclaimer], as these are linked to on the bottom of every page.

Beyond that, I guess all I have to say is good luck on your NIWA application! ===Redirect overwrite problem===
:Thanks for the input, Miles! We've taken care of the interwiki typo and the inaccuracy of the anti-spambot question. As far as the sitenotice goes, I logged out to investigate, and everything seemed normal to me :/ I've put the help section, disclaimer and privacy policy on my to do list, so those will get done as soon as possible. Thanks again for your help, and for the good luck wishes! [[User:BrandedOne|BrandedOne]] 20:10, 26 March 2011 (MDT)
So my hand slipped onto the enter key while I was trying to move [[Expert Yumi]] to [[Spy's Yumi]] and my attempts to stop the request from sending and correct this seems to have done something weird, and now it's stuck at "Spy Yumi" and there's a redirect page in the way at Spy's Yumi. This is pretty embarrassing, but could somebody with the rights get rid of the Spy's Yumi redirect? --[[User:PerplexingArticulator|PA]] ([[User talk:PerplexingArticulator|talk]]) 00:48, 7 March 2016 (UTC)
::Regarding the sitenotice glitches when logged out: [http://i55.tinypic.com/2rq23ie.png 1] [http://i56.tinypic.com/r2tjcl.png 2]. Admittedly I'm still running IE7, but it's still worth pointing out. ::: We cannot fix such an issue with IE7. The skin is designed off of Vector, while the other is based on Monobook. So in order to fix that, we'd need to copy or alter coding from monobook into Vector. I'm sorry, but the best to do is to upgrade your browser to a compatible one such as Google Chrome, Opera, etc. [[User:Eliwood|'''''<span style="font-size:18px; color:#FF6600; font-family:Times New Roman">-- Eliwood</span>''''']]&nbsp; ([[User_talk:Eliwood|<span style="font-size:11px; font-family:Trebuchet MS; color:#2ea417;">My Talk Page</span>]]) ([[Special:Contributions/Eliwood|<span style="font-size:11px; font-family:Trebuchet MS; color:#00F7FF;">My Contributions</span>]]) 10:32, 27 March 2011 (MDT)

===Can [[Latona]] be moved to [[Latona (staff)]]/ or can the current Latona (staff) page be deleted?===

== Viewing large categories ==
=== Ostia Square/Archive (2/29/16) ===
Since I wasn't sure where to post this, I figured I would ask it here. Whenever I try to view large categories such as [[:Category:The Sacred Stones portraits]] with more than 200 images, it doesn't let me view any files beyond the 200 mark. When I try to click on the link for (Next 200), it just takes me back to the first 200 images in the category. I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing similar issues like this with large categories? - [[User:Natasha|Natasha]] 20:46, 21 January 2012 (EST)
:Absolutely, I've seen that problem before, and it's rather annoying. I believe as part of the new URL when you click "Next 200", there is a small section that is "filefrom". I believe if you change that to just, "from", it may show you the next images in the category. I may be wrong about that, but I think that was the solution someone gave me. Since [[Luck]] is a stat that changes upon promoting in Fates, I tried to fiddle with [[Template:PromotionGains]] to try to integrate the stat. == Inability to reupload files ==
I have no idea what happened here, but I'd like to inquire as to the removal/disappearance of the "Upload a new version of the file" option for files, particularly images.  Considering there are a large number of files "ghosted" by that server transfer (eg [[:File:FE776 Cyas.png]]) - especially FE5 artwork - which require reuploading, this is problematic.  Even if that weren't the case it's an unfortunate thing to not have around, for general purposes of cleaning up image crops or updating slightly erroneous sprites.  The ability to move pages also disappeared around the same time, but that's somewhat less of an issue. --[[User:PerplexingArticulator|PerplexingArticulator]] ([[User talk:PerplexingArticulator|talk]]) 00:42, 19 June 2012 (EDT)
:While I'm not sure of the exact reason for these problems, our tech supports are looking into this and trying to find a solution. And about FE5 artwork, the user who cropped them may have backups; I'll talk with them and ask if they can reupload those images once the issue has been resolved. ~ [[User:Aria der Donau|Aria der Donau]] ([[User talk:Aria der Donau|talk]]) 02:02, 19 June 2012 (EDT)

== Word blacklist ==
::I know this is old, but I think it was necessary to still point out that this has now been resolved, atleast for Sakura, the template does show luck gains. --[[User:Critical Sniper|Hanes]] ([[User talk:Critical Sniper|talk]]) 06:14, 16 July 2020 (UTC)
Okay seriously, we literally can't create anything with the word "skill" (let alone the still-absent [[skills]] page) in it anymore because "kill" is blacklisted.  Similarly, [[:File:Is 3ds exalted falchion.png|File:Is 3ds divine falchion.png]] can't have its proper name, [[Exalted Falchion]], because "sex" is blacklisted (the file name would be "Is 3d'''s ex'''alted falcion").  Considering that both words pop up with some frequency in FE games, and that the former is literally a core part of the point of the games, this is just plain silly. --[[User:PerplexingArticulator|some idiot]] ([[User talk:PerplexingArticulator|talk]]) 09:26, 18 February 2013 (UTC)

== Extension suggestion ==
== Other Requests ==

A few days ago, I was working on the [[Avatar (Awakening)|Avatar]]'s article, and had an idea. On some other wikis, such as F-Zero Wiki and WiKirby, we have the MyVariables extension, which adds magic words such as, for example, <nowiki>{{CURRENTUSER}}</nowiki>, which outputs the name of the user viewing the page in the article. Since the Avatar is supposed to be the player's representative in the game world, I figured we could use those magic words to personalise the articles accordingly (e.g. "David has lost his memory" instead of "Avatar has lost his/her memory"). [[wikirby:Template:RealMe|Here it is]] in action on WiKirby; if you're logged in, and have specified your real name and gender, the template and documentation change to reflect them; otherwise, you get "the player". What do you think? --[[User:Moydow|<span style="color: green;">Moy</span><span style="color: orange;">dow</span>]] ([[User talk:Moydow|Support]]) 19:46, 7 July 2013 (UTC)

just out of curiosity: thoughts on the possiblity of renaming the game pages to give them the English names prescribed to each by {{title|Awakening}}?  admittedly only three "need" to be changed (Monshou no Nazo -> Mystery of the Emblem, Genealogy of the Holy War -> Genealogy of the Holy War, The Binding Blade -> Binding Blade; Thracia 776 and Gaiden are still referred to as such).  i can see valid reasons for both doing it or not doing it; thought i'd raise it here as a matter of curiosity.  similarly, i'd also recomment renaming the FE7 page to just "Fire Emblem (game)"; i get why it's got a different name and i'd recommend leaving it as "Blazing Sword" in listings on other pages for the sake of disambiguation, but honestly it seems a little silly to not refer to the main page on the game by its "actual" english name (not to mention, if anything the subtitle should be "Blazing Blade" since that's how the namesake sword is referred to in FE7, popularised terms be damned...) not really expecting either change to go through, but i thought i'd raise it anyway out of curiosity --[[User:PerplexingArticulator|some idiot]] ([[User talk:PerplexingArticulator|talk]]) 04:31, 1 August 2013 (UTC)

: I figure, does it matter so much if we leave the item icons in? I see where you're coming from in choosing to omit them, but just about everyone who comes here for FE1 data has played that fan translation and we already lean heavily on them in general for a fair bit of this place's data, and IMO that's enough of a reason to just leave the icons here. That's basically what FE1 is to English fans, and official or not, that at least lends the patch and its icon contents some sort of status and credibility that makes it worth leaving them in here. --[[User:PerplexingArticulator|PA]] ([[User talk:PerplexingArticulator|talk]]) 18:30, 7 September 2016 (UTC)

== Awakening portraits ==
:::Your standpoint does make sense, don't get me wrong. It's definitely logically consistent, but at the same time its strictness strikes me as impractical. I know that we're only talking about weapon icons here and it isn't like their loss would be a great one, and I know I'm about to get into an extreme example myself, but divesting ourselves of fan translation content in general is a risky business in that there's really no viable alternative when it comes to script citations for those games. I figure it's easier, both on us and on the readers, to just accept their content.

"Dekodomo", a person on Tumblr, has started [http://dekodomo.tumblr.com/tagged/fe%3Aa-making-faces a project] in which they're working on using Miiverse screenshots to extract clean, high-quality copies of Awakening's portrait sprites; they've done an excellent job keeping them in good quality. They've invited people to [http://dekodomo.tumblr.com/post/77653840788/some-transparent-brady-faces-since-it-was-his "use [them] for whatever"], and of course they could be very useful here, considering proper sprite rips from the game's data itself are very likely a long way away if they ever happen at all. I thought I'd raise the possibility of someone asking their permission to use their portrait work on Fire Emblem Wiki, with complete and proper attribution of course, and see if anyone would be okay with this idea/up to making the request. Thoughts? --[[User:PerplexingArticulator|some idiot]] ([[User talk:PerplexingArticulator|talk]]) 01:45, 4 August 2014 (UTC)
:::I'm not saying we should uncritically take them at their word all the time, or that we should move every JP-only character page to match what fan translations call them (though I do feel that'd be better than having pages called "Raian" or "Qulyf", since nobody has ever called those two by those names), and if there's content missing from them then we certainly shouldn't take that as a gospel assertion that the content absolutely never existed (or in the case of the icons, that the content absolutely always existed). But all things considered, their unofficial nature doesn't outweigh their importance and how much we depend on their script work on a day-to-day basis, and if we can establish a suitable disclaimer on such pages (say, an icon in the top-right like what we put on featured pages) to clarify that fan translation content is present then I believe it'd be to our advantage to just accept them as substitutes for official localizations. As far as precedent goes I'd look to WikiBound and its handling of Mother 3 content, which just uses its fan translation straight-up, as an example of it being viable. Even if they aren't us, and even if Mother 3's fan translation is absolutely not a normal case, I figure if another NIWA wiki is doing it then that's something at least.

::::I think this might be as good a time as any to actually discuss how we want to handle the Japan-only games and fan translations, though. Perhaps we should start a new section here for it? I think to a certain extent, we ought to cater to the content people will be most familiar with, since that's what people will type into Google and whatnot (which is therefore better for our search rankings and hits and so on), but of course there are all sorts of nuances therein, like which patch we should prioritise (though I think this is really only a question for FE4), and if there are some parts we shouldn't use (like with the current FE5 patch, and even some official content like that old Nintendo Power article that gave us Zigludo and the ''Descent of Jihad''). That said, I do get the reasons why one would feel we should stick only to official content.

In order to support the upkeep of the server, we're asking the sites we're hosting if they would be willing to host advertisements. We're looking to have two to three ads on each site - one at the top and bottom of the content area, and possibly one in the sidebar, but this can be negotiated. All money raised will go towards the cost of the server/hosting and domain names. This won't affect the day-to-day running of the site in any way. Please discuss this, and let me know if you're okay with ads being placed on the site. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me. === Spoiler content/templates/soft redirects ===
This is something that's come up lately, so I felt it was important to get a discussion going on it. Right now, we simply put spoiler templates at the start of sections deemed to contain major spoiler content for a game's story, such as the Black Knight's true identity. But recently {{user|Geodude}} has introduced the <nowiki>{{soft redirect}}</nowiki> template, so that anyone browsing to e.g. the Black Knight's article doesn't immediately land upon the information about his true identity.

:I think advertisements would be okay. [[User:Thesquidsisters|Thesquidsisters]] ([[User talk:Thesquidsisters|talk]]) 17:33, 21 June 2015 (UTC)
Personally, however, I feel that if you are visiting a wiki, you open yourself up to the possibility of spoilers the moment you click the link, and so we should not be responsible for protecting users from that content. We're here simply to provide information to readers, how they go about reading that information isn't our responsibility. Plus, in some ways basically everything is a spoiler, depending on how far into a game you are–how exactly should we decide what constitutes a spoiler in the first place? [[mariowiki:MarioWiki:Proposals/Archive 24#Remove Spoiler Templates|This discussion]] on Super Mario Wiki discusses a lot of what I think about spoiler templates. A number of other wikis handle it in this way, including the Mario and Zelda wikis, and they seem to do just fine. Thus, I would propose that we simply remove them entirely from the wiki, and place a "read at your own risk!" notice in the site notice and/or main page instead.

::Just bringing this up again. We'll be implementing these within the next few weeks, unless anyone has any compelling reasons not to. -[[User:Moydow|<span style="color: green;">Moy</span><span style="color: orange;">dow</span>]] ([[User talk:Moydow|Support]]) 15:49, 22 June 2015 (UTC)
So as I see it, these are our options for dealing with this:

== Update 1.26 ==
# The current situation: spoiler templates at the start of each section that might contain spoiler content, but no soft redirects or anything of the sort for pages like [[Zelgius]]
# Include soft redirects for pages like [[Zelgius]] with major spoilers, and retain spoiler templates for the remaining content
# Remove spoiler templates and soft redirects entirely, à la Mario Wiki, Zelda Wiki, etc.

1.26 was released almost a month ago and we are still on 1.25.3. I have done some testing with a copy of the site's setup and an old database and it seems to be working fine, meaning there should be no critical errors after the update process. The only issue I have seen is that the [[Special:Search|search function]] is a bit broken. It works, but the layout is a bit of a mess, but this problem seems to occur on other 1.26 wikis as well. I assume it will be fixed in 1.26.1
Does anyone have any input on this, or other ways of dealing with them? --[[User:Moydow|<span style="color: green;">Moy</span><span style="color: orange;">dow</span>]] ([[User talk:Moydow|Support]]) 21:39, 4 September 2017 (UTC)
:I believe that we needn't protect people from spoilers. Anything can be considered a spoiler by different people. In my opinion, if you are on a wiki, expect spoilers. I believe the spoiler template should be abolished and we can put a note on the site notice saying that the wiki contains unmarked spoilers (although this might not show up on the mobile website? I have no idea) [[User:PikaSamus|PikaSamus]] ([[User talk:PikaSamus|talk]]) 17:19, 5 September 2017 (UTC)

In addition to the update, I have plans to implement a new CAPTCHA, one that should be less annoying to real humans but still too hard for most bots. This CAPTCHA is the new version of reCAPTCHA where a user simply has to click a single checkbox, the software analyzes browsing habits on registraton pages etc. and based on that, figures whether the action was performed by a human or not. If the check fails, an image challenge is presented which works similarly to the now defunt Asirra. This requires 1.26.
::I also agree that as a wiki it shouldn't be obligated to protect people from spoilers, even for cases like me back when I had no idea who Chrom was in the ''Smash'' trailer. The format of using spoiler templates is just messy and inconsistent throughout the wiki, with some pages having hoards of marked spoilers while others (particularly the older games) have almost none.  I think it would be best to simply remove the spoiler templates entirely and have the "read at your own risk" warning for the whole site.
::This may be a personal bias but, if we do do the "read at your own risk" thing, can Masked Marth still be the icon for it? [[User:Fastesthe1|Fastesthe1]] ([[User talk:Fastesthe1|talk]]) 06:27, 8 September 2017 (UTC)

No date has been set yet, so there is time to decide should the update be postponed till 1.26.1, in hopes of it fixing the search page layout, or is the issue insignificant enough to not warrant a delay.
:::I personally am against #2.  Both #1 and #3 are pretty reasonable, I'd readily go with #3 if it came to that, although that probably wouldn't stop me from using anti-spoiler redirects (i.e. [[Odin]], [[Laslow]], or what [[Black Knight (character)]] was before this situation arose) like I'd been doing in #1 before any mass relink projects were to start...--[[User:Shiningpikablu252|Shiningpikablu252]] ([[User talk:Shiningpikablu252|talk]]) 03:22, 15 September 2017 (UTC)

A little extra idea I had a moment ago when I saw those red exclamation marks in RC. I was thinking of overhauling the patrol system by allowing autoconfirmed users to patrol edits and consider them autopatrolled. That way, only IPs and new accounts fall under the scope of the patrol system, such edits are marked with a red exclamation mark, drawing extra attention. This makes it easier to distinguish edits made by users who are more likely to edit in bad faith.
== Character Gallery Guidelines ==

In addition, the system adds a new group, called "patrolled", which is intended to be used for those autoconfirmed users who cannot be trusted to have their edits automatically patrolled. The group "autopatrolled" will be removed.
Hello! I'm here thanks to a suggestion from PikaSamus.
There is a lot of inconsistency among character galleries on this Wiki, and - to be honest - it looks sloppy. the gallery layout for [[Marth#Gallery|Marth]] looks very different from [[Ike#Gallery|Ike]], which is completely different from [[Corrin#Gallery|Corrin]], and so on. I think it would be helpful for users and readers if there were set policy guidelines for how artwork should be arranged. Personally, from my experience on other wikis, I think the following organization would suit Fire Emblem Wiki well:
* '''Artwork''' <small>(professional artwork, renders, and illustrations from the video games and card games (''all'' games - not just from ''Fire Emblem''))</small>
* '''Miscellaneous''' <small>(artwork, renders, and illustrations unaffiliated with the video games or card games (such as merchandise, or the OVA))</small>
* '''Sprites and assets''' <small>(pretty self explanatory)</small>
* '''Screenshots''' <small>(if present)</small>

The configuration changes necessary for this are pending for 1.26. In case of silence or opposition from the community, these changes will not applied with 1.26 and are put on hold. This kind of a change is not something I wish to implement without a clear community approval. This does not affect other features to come with 1.26 rollout. --[[User:Sove|Sove]] ([[User talk:Sove|talk]]) 23:36, 17 December 2015 (UTC)
Additional notes:
* Pieces within these categories would be arranged by chronological/game order.
* Group artwork should be acceptable.

:This could also be implemented as a separate implicit group that has higher requirements than autoconfirmed, like 500 edits and 90 days. --[[User:Sove|Sove]] ([[User talk:Sove|talk]]) 00:05, 18 December 2015 (UTC)
Here's an abridged version of what this ''may'' look like:
.....tooooo.... tell the truth I have no idea what you're talking about. (I'm not seeing any red exclamation points in Recent Changes). Unless this is something I can't see because of whatever. [[User:L95|L95]] ([[User talk:L95|talk]]) 01:13, 18 December 2015 (UTC)

Would it be possible for somebody with the correct rights to run some sort of batch rename operation for the FE13 map animations and item sprite files, to change the "3ds" part of the name to "3ds01"? FE14's map graphics are completely new even for classes returning from FE13, and the same seems to go for items considering the generic icon thing, so it's something that could do with doing. The only issue is that icons for the skills new to FE14 are also currently under the 3ds prefix, but they can be manually moved after the fact. --[[User:PerplexingArticulator|PA]] ([[User talk:PerplexingArticulator|talk]]) 02:52, 19 January 2016 (UTC)
::In regards to the merging of ''Fire Emblem'' and non-''Fire Emblem'' gallery sections, I have a few words to say. The "other appearances" section heading was formerly titled "Non-canon", which I changed due to canon being a difficult concept to define. Would ''Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light'' and ''Mystery of the Emblem'' be considered non-canon? After all, they had Nintendo DS remakes which ''Awakening'' and ''Heroes'' derive 90% or more of their Archanean content from. So, I changed it to other appearances to match the other "Other appearances" section.
::However, this begs the question: what counts as a ''Fire Emblem'' game? We put ''BS Fire Emblem'' and ''Heroes'' artwork in the main part of the gallery, but we do not put ''Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE'' or ''Warriors'' material in the main section of the gallery. One could argue that ''BS Fire Emblem'' has identical gameplay to ''Mystery of the Emblem'' except with time-related events; and ''Heroes'' has gameplay that can be clearly defined as close to that of the main series, though with several deviations. And both of these games are developed by Intelligent Systems.
::''Tokyo Mirage Sessions'' has no resemblance to ''Fire Emblem'' in terms of gameplay aside from the names of stats, and ''Warriors'', while it does take several elements from the mainline ''Fire Emblem'' titles, is still at its core a ''Dynasty Warriors'' video game. Neither of these games were developed by IS, being created by Atlus and Koei respectively with a license to use the ''Fire Emblem'' brand. As such, ''Tokyo Mirage Sessions'' has "FE" in its name, and ''Warriors'' has ''Fire Emblem''. We also include art from both trading card games in the main artwork section, but we do not include images from the short-lived animated series, despite the fact that these both are non-video game material using the ''Fire Emblem'' brand.
::What I am trying to say is that, I do not support the merging of ''Fire Emblem'' and non-''Fire Emblem'' sections in the gallery, but we do need a new definition of what counts as ''Fire Emblem'' and what does not. [[User:PikaSamus|PikaSamus]] ([[User talk:PikaSamus|talk]]) 15:52, 12 March 2018 (UTC)

:I assume they can all be found from [https://fireemblemwiki.org/w/index.php?title=Category:Awakening_item_sprites this category]? This would need a bot so it can be done automatically and we do not have one. Another solution is to make a list of the files in "existing name 1|new name 1" format, one line for every file and then have one of us run the moveBatch script. This is a very time consuming process, though. --[[User:Sove|Sove]] ([[User talk:Sove|talk]]) 23:37, 22 January 2016 (UTC)
:::I agree that the language needs to be changed to more accurately define what counts as ''Fire Emblem'' vs. non-''Fire Emblem'', but I don't think such terminology exists and that one will fall into these linguistic, categorical problems indefinitely. Personally, I don't think there is much value to separate gallery images this way anyways. Artwork of Marth from ''Smash Bros.'' is equally as applicable as artwork from ''Shadow Dragon''. Game appearances in the character infoboxes are not separated by whether they are ''Fire Emblem'' or non-''Fire Emblem'', but I won't lose sleep over it as long as the new categories make sense.

:: [[:Category:Awakening map animations|This category as well]]. If you think it's worth going ahead with the move, I'd be happy to put together a file list if that's the time-consuming part. I'm pretty good at doing menial rote tasks like that, so perhaps it's better if I put up with it instead of somebody else. --[[User:PerplexingArticulator|PA]] ([[User talk:PerplexingArticulator|talk]]) 11:01, 23 January 2016 (UTC)

I feel an agreed upon format for the script pages should be formed. As they are now, they all resemble each other, but they all look different and inconsistent. This is by no means a high priority and probably only needs a few people, but I feel a revision would be useful. I goofed when I was moving skill pages to the English names based on this: http://www.siliconera.com/2016/02/12/preparing-battles-nohr-fire-emblem-fates-conquest/. == Calling vote for new admin ==
After wreaking my havoc upon the chapters of the first three games (though {{title|Gaiden}} didn't receive much of that), I am now turning my attention to {{title|Genealogy of the Holy War}}. The "Enemy data" section, I think, needs particular attention; it's a bit of a mess. Chapters have either every enemy that ever shows up on the "ChapEnemies" table or have all the enemies that don't start on the field under reinforcements, both of which tend to get cluttered. I propose instead that the units be split by faction, demonstrated below using data from [[Crisis in Agustria]]:

Hello everyone. I am the founder of Fire Emblem Wiki who stepped down a few years back due to having too many projects at once. I would like to return to help the wiki a bit with issues such as move requests, locking and unlocking pages, etc. I was asked to ask the community first to see if they wanted a new admin, so if you want to have me help out around here as a part-time admin, please vote "Aye" or "Nay" in response to this. This clearly demonstrates the difference between particular factions and their affiliation with the player. Not to say that it's perfect, Authority combined with any notes jumbles that right up, but I think it's better. I also think that the Boss data could be split by faction in a similar fashion, still under its own section, but that's just rearranging some templates and adding some headers, so I didn't feel the need to demonstrate it here.

On a similar note, the colors of partner and NPC units seem to be switched by name, but the green units act like green units in any other game and the yellow units are a neutral party rather than an instructed one. Is this worthy of its own templates or should we just insert some "if" statements into the templates to account for this color difference? Or take the easy route and ignore it.

One more thing: I wasn't certain what to call the yellow unit map animations. We have some precedent for calling green partner, as a civilian sprite was under that label, but we have no yellows with names, and I didn't want to upload a few files only to change their names later and annoy everyone.

I realize this account is less than a month old, but I have some big contributions I'd be willing to help with. Unfortunately, permissions seem to get in the way, and there are other odd things I just found out I don't have perms for. The main thing I'd like to be able to do is create the Stat pages and subpages for a lot of the Fire Emblem Fates child units. It seems I don't have permission to create those pages from scratch. It'd be easy enough to follow the example set by [[Ignatius (Fates)/Stats]] and just apply it to the other child units. The other thing that was pretty odd was that I can't create my own userpage or edit my talk page... but they're mine, so why? Any help would be appreciated, even if that help was another user creating those Stat pages ahead of me. Could someone also please clarify why those permissions are denied to me? == Character appearances? ==

Hey, can I suggest a section for most character pages that describe about a character's design? Because I feel like it is helpful for blind people to understand what a character looks like without having to look at available images only. Plus, I like reading sections like this on other wikis, so yeah. - [[User:Bluemothsword|Bluemothsword]] ([[User talk:Bluemothsword|talk]]) 21:59, 9 July 2021 (UTC)

:I can see the benefit to a visual appearance section, especially to the blind, color blind, or similarly visually impaired. == Split Tactic Drills ==

If you look at [[Tactics Drills/Skill Studies (page 1)]], [[Tactics Drills/Skill Studies (page 2)]], and [[Tactics Drills/Skill Studies (page 3)]], they take an awful lot of time to load because of the images' bytes. I know this because it was an issue for ''Super Mario Wiki'' users when ''Mario Kart Tour'' list pages had too much images. The option is to remove the images or split the article into different articles. I propose that the Tactic Drills page to be split into articles. Examples: '''Basics: <name>''' '''Skill Studies: <name>''' , '''Grandmaster: <name>'''. <span style="border:2px outset rgba(227, 150, 62, 0.7); padding:7px; background:rgba(255, 191, 0, 0.5); border-radius:10px">[[User:Derekblue1|<span style="color:rgba(32, 178, 170, 0.9);">'''Derekblue1'''</span>]][[User talk:Derekblue1|<span style="color:rgba(32, 178, 170, 0.9);">(talk)</span>]][[File:Derekblue1 Daisy Sig.png|20px|link=Special:Contributions/Derekblue1]]</span> 11:20, 19 December 2023 (UTC)

== Playable Characters from Genealogy of the Holy War ==

The sections on 'Playable Characters' from each class are inconsistent about characters from GotHW.
* Some classes, such as Cavalier and Pegasus Knight, have "Genealogy of the Holy War [First/Second] Generation"
* Some, such as Sword Fighter, have "Genealogy of the Holy War ([First/Second] Generation), in parentheses"
* Some, such as Troubadour, have "[First/Second] Generation" under an asterisk
* And many others simply list "Genealogy of the First War" with no Generation noted

I could work on making them all consistent if I'm told which style is preferred. {{Unsigned|ThunderMage}}
:Good to know. I'd advise the second style like on Sword Fighter. [[User:PikaSamus|PikaSamus]] ([[User talk:PikaSamus|talk]]) 18:29, 25 March 2024 (UTC)

Archive

I have archived the old community page to Fire_Emblem_Wiki:Ostia_Square/Archive 1 to make this a bit more pretty. The archive has a bunch of old details that do not apply anymore.

I also have added new sections to make it more understanding, hopefully. -- Izagar  (My Talk Page) (My Contributions) 17:49, 29 February 2016 (UTC)

Rename Requests

FE4 Chapter 6 (04/21/24)

The Music Compilation video from 2021 names Chapter 6 as Inheritors of Light. Since it refers to the context of a chapter title specifically in a modern context like other Heroes song titles, I think it is more relevant to use than Seliph's epithet Heir of Light. Flameduck (talk) 23:39, 21 April 2024 (UTC)

I was unaware of this. I'll bring this up. PikaSamus (talk) 23:56, 21 April 2024 (UTC)
Move requests aren't really handled like this anymore; it's preferred to put {{Move}} on the relevant page (like I did in this edit). — Thecornerman (talk) 00:00, 22 April 2024 (UTC)

Anglicized Name Updates? (06/16/18)

I'm pretty sure the reason we don't use the CYL names is that there are inconsistencies between that and actual Heroes text. Like, with Thea, she's called Thite on the CYL website and Thea in one of Shanna's written quotes. Xamad (talk) 16:02, 16 June 2018 (UTC)
But would it not make sense to use the most up to date information possible? :) Ferronier

Redirect overwrite problem

So my hand slipped onto the enter key while I was trying to move Expert Yumi to Spy's Yumi and my attempts to stop the request from sending and correct this seems to have done something weird, and now it's stuck at "Spy Yumi" and there's a redirect page in the way at Spy's Yumi. This is pretty embarrassing, but could somebody with the rights get rid of the Spy's Yumi redirect? --PA (talk) 00:48, 7 March 2016 (UTC)

Can Latona be moved to Latona (staff)/ or can the current Latona (staff) page be deleted?

For some reason Latona (staff) redirects to Latona. I was planning on making a Latona (character) page but I'd wanted to make a proper disambig page first. (which I need Latona (staff) for, as it will be the new page about the... uh... staff, and Latona could redirect to the disambig) L95 (talk) 18:44, 20 April 2016 (UTC)

Couldn't you just add a hatnote to the current Latona page linking to the character? Most people will probably be looking for the staff. The same for Grado, too. PikaSamus (talk) 23:37, 20 April 2016 (UTC)
I guess so, though I'd personally still like to have the staff at Latona (staff) and have Latona redirect to it but that's more my little irks, haha. L95 (talk) 03:43, 30 April 2016 (UTC)

Promotion stat gains

Since Luck is a stat that changes upon promoting in Fates, I tried to fiddle with Template:PromotionGains to try to integrate the stat. Then I used Sakura's promotion gains as a test and it didn't show up right. I have since returned the template to the way it originally was. Any help on this? I know this is old, but I think it was necessary to still point out that this has now been resolved, atleast for Sakura, the template does show luck gains. --Hanes (talk) 06:14, 16 July 2020 (UTC)

Someone translated one of the stories from the Records Hall now. Source: http://blumenkraanze.tumblr.com/post/141051396821/i-figured-out-the-ancient-texts-in-fire-emblem
“A dragon neither white nor black,
saw his future self,
as no more than a caged beast;
A dragon neither white nor black,
sang three songs of prophecy,
so someday his soul might be released.”

Thracia 776 Name Query

In trying to weed out the wanted pages, I've ran into some names I'd like to reconcile differences on. They are as follows:

  • List or Rist?
  • Mua or Moore?
  • Gustaf or Gustav?
  • Merlock or Marlock?
  • Linecock, Reincok, or Reinkoch?
  • Baldack or Baldoch?
  • Nicalaf or Nicolov?
  • Robos or Lobos?
  • Dobalzark or Dvorak?

Ordinarily I'd cross-reference the name chart, reconcile to the NoJ romanization if there is one or to the fan translation name otherwise; however, most of Thracia 776's bosses are conspicuously missing from the name chart...--Shiningpikablu252 (talk) 23:43, 6 August 2016 (UTC)

According to bookofholsety's name chart (Update: this link is now dead), the current fan translation uses List, Mua, Gustaf, Merlok, Rinecock, Baldak, Nicalaf, Robos, and Tobolzak. PikaSamus (talk) 00:01, 7 August 2016 (UTC)

Help with Template:ChapShop NES01

I tried making a chapter shop template for FE1. I removed the icon column because FE1 doesn't have any, but now it's stuck on the left (see the Marth Embarks page). Can someone with more knowledge on templates make it so it's stretched out to be the same width as the other ones? PikaSamus (talk) 16:26, 7 September 2016 (UTC)

I figure, does it matter so much if we leave the item icons in? I see where you're coming from in choosing to omit them, but just about everyone who comes here for FE1 data has played that fan translation and we already lean heavily on them in general for a fair bit of this place's data, and IMO that's enough of a reason to just leave the icons here. That's basically what FE1 is to English fans, and official or not, that at least lends the patch and its icon contents some sort of status and credibility that makes it worth leaving them in here. --PA (talk) 18:30, 7 September 2016 (UTC)
I believe that we should prioritize the Japanese versions above fan translations, with the fan translations and other unofficial material being trivia material at best, if not omitted. While fan translations are important to many Fire Emblem players, I feel that since they're not official, they shouldn't be here. Looking at all of the project and help pages, there's no policy on this. PikaSamus (talk) 23:36, 7 September 2016 (UTC)
Your standpoint does make sense, don't get me wrong.
I'm not saying we should uncritically take them at their word all the time, or that we should move every JP-only character page to match what fan translations call them (though I do feel that'd be better than having pages called "Raian" or "Qulyf", since nobody has ever called those two by those names), and if there's content missing from them then we certainly shouldn't take that as a gospel assertion that the content absolutely never existed (or in the case of the icons, that the content absolutely always existed).
I know it's a bit silly of me to respond to a simple icon question with a huge rant, but there it is anyway. --PA (talk) 01:34, 8 September 2016 (UTC)
To answer the question of FE1 icons, I personally would have left them in, since there's only the one FE1 patch at the moment, and that's what 99.9%+ of our viewers who've played that game will have used.
I think this might be as good a time as any to actually discuss how we want to handle the Japan-only games and fan translations, though. Perhaps we should start a new section here for it? I think to a certain extent, we ought to cater to the content people will be most familiar with, since that's what people will type into Google and whatnot (which is therefore better for our search rankings and hits and so on), but of course there are all sorts of nuances therein, like which patch we should prioritise (though I think this is really only a question for FE4), and if there are some parts we shouldn't use (like with the current FE5 patch, and even some official content like that old Nintendo Power article that gave us Zigludo and the Descent of Jihad). That said, I do get the reasons why one would feel we should stick only to official content.
Which is why we ought to discuss formulating an actual policy, really. --Moydow (Support) 03:37, 8 September 2016 (UTC)

Spoiler content/templates/soft redirects

This is something that's come up lately, so I felt it was important to get a discussion going on it. Right now, we simply put spoiler templates at the start of sections deemed to contain major spoiler content for a game's story, such as the Black Knight's true identity. But recently Geodude (TalkContributions) has introduced the {{soft redirect}} template, so that anyone browsing to e.g. the Black Knight's article doesn't immediately land upon the information about his true identity.

This discussion on Super Mario Wiki discusses a lot of what I think about spoiler templates. A number of other wikis handle it in this way, including the Mario and Zelda wikis, and they seem to do just fine. Thus, I would propose that we simply remove them entirely from the wiki, and place a "read at your own risk!" notice in the site notice and/or main page instead.

So as I see it, these are our options for dealing with this:

  1. The current situation: spoiler templates at the start of each section that might contain spoiler content, but no soft redirects or anything of the sort for pages like Zelgius
  2. Include soft redirects for pages like Zelgius with major spoilers, and retain spoiler templates for the remaining content
  3. Remove spoiler templates and soft redirects entirely, à la Mario Wiki, Zelda Wiki, etc.

Does anyone have any input on this, or other ways of dealing with them? --Moydow (Support) 21:39, 4 September 2017 (UTC)

I believe that we needn't protect people from spoilers. Anything can be considered a spoiler by different people. In my opinion, if you are on a wiki, expect spoilers. I believe the spoiler template should be abolished and we can put a note on the site notice saying that the wiki contains unmarked spoilers (although this might not show up on the mobile website? I have no idea) PikaSamus (talk) 17:19, 5 September 2017 (UTC)
I also agree that as a wiki it shouldn't be obligated to protect people from spoilers, even for cases like me back when I had no idea who Chrom was in the Smash trailer. The format of using spoiler templates is just messy and inconsistent throughout the wiki, with some pages having hoards of marked spoilers while others (particularly the older games) have almost none. I think it would be best to simply remove the spoiler templates entirely and have the "read at your own risk" warning for the whole site.
This may be a personal bias but, if we do do the "read at your own risk" thing, can Masked Marth still be the icon for it? Fastesthe1 (talk) 06:27, 8 September 2017 (UTC)
I personally am against #2. Both #1 and #3 are pretty reasonable, I'd readily go with #3 if it came to that, although that probably wouldn't stop me from using anti-spoiler redirects (i.e. Odin, Laslow, or what Black Knight (character) was before this situation arose) like I'd been doing in #1 before any mass relink projects were to start...--Shiningpikablu252 (talk) 03:22, 15 September 2017 (UTC)
I agree with 3 for the same reasoning; everything could be considered a spoiler, and our current use of the spoiler template is also inconsistent, yeah. I think getting rid of the template is a good idea. L95 (talk) 03:28, 15 September 2017 (UTC)
If no-one else has any objections, I think we can go ahead with option 3 (removing spoiler templates entirely). I'll allow until Monday (18 September) for anyone else to speak up; if nothing comes up, I'll go ahead with it then. --Moydow (Support) 13:53, 16 September 2017 (UTC)
No objections, so let's get this show on the road. --Moydow (Support) 23:30, 18 September 2017 (UTC)

Pretty self explanatory, I wish to change my username but going around on my profile I can't find that. --Hanes (talk) 06:28, 14 July 2020‎ (UTC)

Character Gallery Guidelines

Hello! I'm here thanks to a suggestion from PikaSamus. There is a lot of inconsistency among character galleries on this Wiki, and - to be honest - it looks sloppy. the gallery layout for Marth looks very different from Ike, which is completely different from Corrin, and so on. I think it would be helpful for users and readers if there were set policy guidelines for how artwork should be arranged. Personally, from my experience on other wikis, I think the following organization would suit Fire Emblem Wiki well:

  • Artwork (professional artwork, renders, and illustrations from the video games and card games (all games - not just from Fire Emblem))
  • Miscellaneous (artwork, renders, and illustrations unaffiliated with the video games or card games (such as merchandise, or the OVA))
  • Sprites and assets (pretty self explanatory)
  • Screenshots (if present)

Additional notes:

  • Pieces within these categories would be arranged by chronological/game order.
  • Group artwork should be acceptable.

Here's an abridged version of what this may look like:

Here is a link to the discussion in question. PikaSamus (talk) 16:27, 9 March 2018 (UTC)
This seems like a good plan to me. I also think some characters might want a /Gallery subpage as well, since we're talking galleries. L95 (talk) 02:14, 12 March 2018 (UTC)
In regards to the merging of Fire Emblem and non-Fire Emblem gallery sections, I have a few words to say. The "other appearances" section heading was formerly titled "Non-canon", which I changed due to canon being a difficult concept to define. Would Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light and Mystery of the Emblem be considered non-canon? After all, they had Nintendo DS remakes which Awakening and Heroes derive 90% or more of their Archanean content from. So, I changed it to other appearances to match the other "Other appearances" section.
However, this begs the question: what counts as a Fire Emblem game? We put BS Fire Emblem and Heroes artwork in the main part of the gallery, but we do not put Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE or Warriors material in the main section of the gallery. One could argue that BS Fire Emblem has identical gameplay to Mystery of the Emblem except with time-related events; and Heroes has gameplay that can be clearly defined as close to that of the main series, though with several deviations. And both of these games are developed by Intelligent Systems.
Tokyo Mirage Sessions has no resemblance to Fire Emblem in terms of gameplay aside from the names of stats, and Warriors, while it does take several elements from the mainline Fire Emblem titles, is still at its core a Dynasty Warriors video game. Neither of these games were developed by IS, being created by Atlus and Koei respectively with a license to use the Fire Emblem brand. As such, Tokyo Mirage Sessions has "FE" in its name, and Warriors has Fire Emblem. We also include art from both trading card games in the main artwork section, but we do not include images from the short-lived animated series, despite the fact that these both are non-video game material using the Fire Emblem brand.
What I am trying to say is that, I do not support the merging of Fire Emblem and non-Fire Emblem sections in the gallery, but we do need a new definition of what counts as Fire Emblem and what does not. PikaSamus (talk) 15:52, 12 March 2018 (UTC)
I agree that the language needs to be changed to more accurately define what counts as Fire Emblem vs. non-Fire Emblem, but I don't think such terminology exists and that one will fall into these linguistic, categorical problems indefinitely. Personally, I don't think there is much value to separate gallery images this way anyways. Artwork of Marth from Smash Bros. is equally as applicable as artwork from Shadow Dragon. Game appearances in the character infoboxes are not separated by whether they are Fire Emblem or non-Fire Emblem, but I won't lose sleep over it as long as the new categories make sense.
PikaSamus, how do feel about other aspects of this organizational scheme I suggested?
I agree that some characters may warrant their own gallery pages separate from the main articles. Nintendo101 (talk) 17:43, 12 March 2018 (UTC)

Script Pages

I feel an agreed upon format for the script pages should be formed. As they are now, they all resemble each other, but they all look different and inconsistent. This is by no means a high priority and probably only needs a few people, but I feel a revision would be useful. Thecornerman (talk) 04:06, 22 September 2018 (UTC)

Unit Analysis (Usefulness rating)

So, I just wanted to ask if this was allowed, or if this is not the focus of this wiki. Just to adjust what I should be focusing my edits on here too. Raging (Talk) 06:26, 1 January 2019 (UTC)

Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War New Chapter Format

After wreaking my havoc upon the chapters of the first three games (though Gaiden didn't receive much of that), I am now turning my attention to Genealogy of the Holy War. The "Enemy data" section, I think, needs particular attention; it's a bit of a mess. Chapters have either every enemy that ever shows up on the "ChapEnemies" table or have all the enemies that don't start on the field under reinforcements, both of which tend to get cluttered. I propose instead that the units be split by faction, demonstrated below using data from Crisis in Agustria:

Genealogy is complicated. Thecornerman (talk) 08:15, 26 February 2019 (UTC)

How to become an Administrator

Good Afternoon! I am trying to become an administrator for this site. I have looked through the instructions, but they do not tell me how to create the form page for the voting, or where to post it. If anyone sees this and can help, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! -TheParagonArcher (talk) 17:29, 4 August 2019 (UTC) ParagonArcher

The administrator position is for trustworthy and responsible people who have a history of good edits. As of yet, you have not proven yourself to have those attributes, as you have only just joined. We have no way of knowing how good of an administrator you would be. I would advise that you not apply. PikaSamus (talk) 19:37, 4 August 2019 (UTC)

Ok, thanks for the info. I will keep editing to try to prove myself worthy! -TheParagonArcher

About my changing order of names on Hilda's page

Hey Pikasamus, sorry about doing that! Being new to the wiki I really shouldn't have presumed to know a better way to do stuff lol. Should I switch Hilda's endings back to how they used to be? (idk if this is even the right place to put this, I'm sorry in advance if this is wrong) Mythra (talk) 22:50, 11 September 2019 (UTC)

No worries! I'll change them back myself. PikaSamus (talk) 23:32, 11 September 2019 (UTC)
Alright, thank you! :) Mythra (talk) 11:00, 12 September 2019 (UTC)

I know I'm new, but...

It'd be easy enough to follow the example set by Ignatius (Fates)/Stats and just apply it to the other child units. The other thing that was pretty odd was that I can't create my own userpage or edit my talk page... but they're mine, so why? Any help would be appreciated, even if that help was another user creating those Stat pages ahead of me. Could someone also please clarify why those permissions are denied to me? CursedUmbreon (talk) 23:29, 15 March 2020 (UTC)

You're not going to believe this, but I believe that, in the process of making your inquiry, you've met the last requirement in order to achieve the "autoconfirmed" status (it's based on both a certain number of days since account creation [4] and a number of edits in valid namespaces [10]; you made your inquiry with your tenth edit). Everything you mentioned in your inquiry is denied to non-autoconfirmed users primarily for the purposes of curbing vandalism and spam. Now that you've actually achieved autoconfirmed, you should be able to give everything you mentioned a roll...--Shiningpikablu252 (talk) 01:36, 16 March 2020 (UTC)
That's interesting indeed. Thank you for clarifying why all of that was happening. I guess all I would have had to do was find one more typo to fix or do an exposition on the personality of another character from Three Houses (it seems all the Personality and Character sections are stubs) and this wouldn't have been a problem to begin with. CursedUmbreon (talk) 15:19, 17 March 2020 (UTC)
Um I spelt my name wrong and I can't create a sig with the correct spelling. I am a highly trusted editor on Inkipedia, an associate, so why can I not create so much as a user page Marth the Overlors (talk) 22:00, 30 January 2021 (UTC)
You can create pages when you are autoconfirmed, which occurs after four days and ten edits. This is in place as new accounts have, in the past, created user pages for spam purposes. As for changing your username, contact PikaSamus, he may change it. Thecornerman (talk) 22:10, 30 January 2021 (UTC)

Should we mark characters as Deceased?

I think this would be a very helpful idea. Marth the Overlord (talk) 00:31, 25 February 2021 (UTC)

Character appearances?

Hey, can I suggest a section for most character pages that describe about a character's design? Because I feel like it is helpful for blind people to understand what a character looks like without having to look at available images only. Plus, I like reading sections like this on other wikis, so yeah. - Bluemothsword (talk) 21:59, 9 July 2021 (UTC)

I can see the benefit to a visual appearance section, especially to the blind, color blind, or similarly visually impaired. I think, though, that a section using "appearance" or "appearances" could be confusing alongside the "other appearances" section some pages already have which details appearances in non-Fire Emblem games. — Thecornerman (talk) 23:09, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
Honestly though, I think a workaround to this is to call it "Design" just to avoid confusion with "other appearances". I also think it's possible to rename "other appearances" to "in other games", but that's just my thought. - Bluemothsword (talk) 01:43, 10 July 2021 (UTC)

Split Tactic Drills

If you look at Tactics Drills/Skill Studies (page 1), Tactics Drills/Skill Studies (page 2), and Tactics Drills/Skill Studies (page 3), they take an awful lot of time to load because of the images' bytes. I know this because it was an issue for Super Mario Wiki users when Mario Kart Tour list pages had too much images. The option is to remove the images or split the article into different articles. I propose that the Tactic Drills page to be split into articles. Examples: Basics: <name> Skill Studies: <name> , Grandmaster: <name>. Playable Characters from Genealogy of the Holy War

The sections on 'Playable Characters' from each class are inconsistent about characters from GotHW.

  • Some classes, such as Cavalier and Pegasus Knight, have "Genealogy of the Holy War [First/Second] Generation"
  • Some, such as Sword Fighter, have "Genealogy of the Holy War ([First/Second] Generation), in parentheses"
  • Some, such as Troubadour, have "[First/Second] Generation" under an asterisk
  • And many others simply list "Genealogy of the First War" with no Generation noted

I could work on making them all consistent if I'm told which style is preferred. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by ThunderMage (talkcontribs). Remember to always sign your talk page comments with ~~~~!
