Proposing a template

Hey guys, i'm new here...so i'm not sure how you guys want your template's styled. I see you are using pretty simple borders, white background and black text for infoboxes. But what about navigation templates? do you guys want them? if so, do you know what style you want them? if not, i can generate a list of template I've seen/helped out on, and you can tell me which you like. Ok, being I've never played any Fire Emblem before, this is probably going to seem obvious to you. But i will ask anyway....How integrated are the games. For example, if the character list isn't integrated at all, then modeling after this template maybe useful. if, however, they are fully intergrated, then this template maybe more useful. They look pretty nice to me. So about the question about the games - the games are set in separate places and continents. Fire Emblem 1-3, an set of extra maps, & 11 (Ankoku Ryuu, Gaiden, Monsho no Nazo, Akaneia Senki, and Shadow Dragon (a remake of FE1)) take place in a continent called Akaneia, except for Gaiden, which is in Barensia, but has been confirmed to be in the same universe, FE4 and 5 (Seisen no Keifu, Thracia 776) take place in Jugdral, FE6 and 7 (Fuuin no Tsurugi, "Fire Emblem") are in Elibe, FE8 (Sacred Stones) is on its own in Magvel, and FE9 and 10 are in Tellius. Every continent is completely unrelated, and may or may not take place in separate universes.

So this means each continent has its own set of characters and locations and stuff, although a lot of other things like game mechanics and weapons are in multiple games. Plus there are tons and tons of characters (all with different names! almost), usually at least twenty in one game. So we'd probably have to make different character and location templates for each universe or game.

There are exactly two characters who overlap the universes, Jake and Anna, two random married unimportant NPC characters who appear sporadically, except for Anna, who's in almost every game as a woman who says game functions (such as when suspending the game, when deleting a file, link cable arena, etc.). They could imply that the continents are in the same universe, since Jake is recruitable in one game and his ending says that he and his wife dream of traveling to distant lands.

So you wouldn't mind if we used them here, would you? The color schemes would may be altered, and of course the content altered for Fire Emblem. If so, then where should we give credit? Seritinajii 20:03, 12 September 2010 (MDT)

Well, this kind of depends on how you document the templates. You see, at lylat wiki as well as previous wiki's, I've been using a /doc subpage to be about that templates usage. Now, myself and Neo (the wiki's founder) argue over how much info is needed on the template: he thinks this way is better, meanwhile i think this way is better, albeit a bit more complex. Either way, we're you document the template i would put a link to the place you got it from (including the date of said copying). If you wish, you may use the Export & Import Tools. Just be warned, if you do so you may import every template that template uses. Which template(s) are you thinking about Borrowing? (and i hope i didn't scare you away). A note about the hiatus notice on front

Hey guys, i am going to be away from September 29th, 2010 to October 4th, 2010. Skill Tonic

Due to a specific entry on the blacklist, I was unable to create the page Skill Tonic normally. As a result, I instead had to create it in my userspace as User:Shiningpikablu252/Sk.Tonic, and the Skill Tonic's image had to be uploaded as File:Is 3ds01 skil tonic.png. Sorry, but it didn't work. Got tripped up by this message:
"User:Shiningpikablu252/Sk.Tonic" cannot be moved to "Skill Tonic", because the title "Skill Tonic" has been banned from creation. It matches the following blacklist entry: .*[Kk][Ii1][Ll1][Ll1].* ### kill
Given the amount of franchise elements that use the words "skill", "killer", and "killing", I don't see why the string "kill" would be on the title blacklist...--Shiningpikablu252 (talk) 15:50, 14 June 2013 (UTC)

Another blacklist issue, I'm afraid...

While going about and writing rough starter articles for the Awakening bosses, I've ran into one whose name trips the blacklist. Specifically, the name of the boss of paralogue 1, Roddick. A string within the character's name (I've bolded the string in question) trips the blacklist, meaning I cannot create the article for Roddick under normal means. I've already written the target article at User:Shiningpikablu252/Para1 Boss, so all that really remains is to get the matter sorted out...--Shiningpikablu252 (talk) 17:39, 20 December 2013 (UTC)

Major bug detected, I think Cargo's a factor...

I've noticed that quite a few pages I've observed have not been loading a table of contents despite being sizably large; a small sample space of affected articles include Marth, Tiki, Alm, Micaiah, and Florete. A small sample space of unaffected articles include Chrom, Edelgard, and Nóatún. I have a feeling that Cargo might be a factor; articles I've observed in the affected group make use of Cargo, while those I haven't seen affected do not. Testing showed that hide-coding the Cargo-using template on Florete allows it to show the table of contents in a preview, while a sample copy-paste of that template onto Nóatún caused its table of contents to disappear in a preview. Wiki skin does not factor, I've made observations both logged-in and logged-out with different skins in use.
