The Short Bow (Japanese: 短弓 Shortbow), also called the Mini Bow (Japanese: ショートボウ Shortbow), is an uncommon bow-type weapon in the Fire Emblem series, debuting in Thracia 776 and appearing in all three GBA games before disappearing, only to reappear in Fates. The main features of this weapon depend on the game where it is present. In Thracia 776, it is a very common and unexpensive bow, while in the next two games, it is mainly used by mounted warriors from Sacae. It is an uncommon but fairly normal bow in The Sacred Stones.
In the Elibe and Magvel games, it has a small critical bonus. Despite its name, the Short Bow did not serve as a close-range bow until its reappearance in Fates, where—unusually for a bow—it is only capable of damage from melee range.
