The Leather Shield (Japanese: 革の盾 Leather Shield) is an accessory item in the shield category of equipment that appears in FE2, its remake Echoes: Shadows of Valentia and FE16. It is the first and weakest member of the standard line of shields, giving a small boost of 3 points to the defense stat in Gaiden and Echoes: Shadows of Valentia while only giving a single point of Protection in Three Houses for units who equip it. It is surpassed by the Iron, Steel, and Silver Shields, but unlike these shields it does not have a weight penalty in Gaiden and its remake. In Shadows of Valentia, it also teaches the Swap combat art, which gives its users the option of repositioning themselves and other allies during their turn.

A shield that's easy to wield.

Type

Item (Equipment/Shield)

First game

Fire Emblem Gaiden

The Leather Shield (Japanese: 革の盾 Leather Shield) is an accessory item in the shield category of equipment that appears in Fire Emblem Gaiden, its remake Echoes: Shadows of Valentia and Fire Emblem: Three Houses.
