Nomadic Trooper
- For similar classes, please see Horseman, Ranger or Bow Knight.
The Nomadic Trooper (Japanese: 遊牧騎兵 Nomadictrooper) is an advanced, horse-mounted class which was introduced in Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade and appears only in it and its follow-up title, Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade. They are a bow- and sword-wielding class and the promoted form of the Nomad class; the class is exclusive to characters hailing from the Sacae region of Elibe.

Nomadic Troopers have very similar stats to their fellow advanced archery class, the Sniper, with high skill and speed to allow them quick and accurate attacks. They distinguish themselves with their greatly superior movement as a result of being a mounted class, and being less prone to being crippled on enemy phase through their access to swords. Uniquely, they are also less affected by terrain and weather effects than other mounted classes in their games, suffering lower penalties from crossing rough terrain and moving through rain; in-universe, this is attributed to the horses ridden by Nomadic Troopers being trained on the plains and being more used to rain.[1]

- ↑ "Oh, no! If I don’t bring in the laundry now… Oh, hello. Are you a soldier? Sounds like a hard life… Especially when it rains. Rain must make it difficult for you to move around. I used to ride horses when I was little. Oh, I remember how those horses disliked the rain. It’s better to be on foot when it’s wet. Nomadic horses are trained on the plains, so they’re better with rain, but… Well, rain just seems to make it hard for everyone to get around. The weather around here can change in no time at all. I recommend just staying in one place until the rain clears up." — A Caelin villager, Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade
