Cutting Gale (Japanese: シェイバー Shaver) is a wind-themed tome introduced in Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem. Along with Excalibur, it is one of the earliest tomes to possess the aesthetic and statistical traits that would later define wind magic, including being very effective against flying units. It has only been included in three games of the series, the others being New Mystery of the Emblem and Three Houses.
