The Berserker (Japanese: バーサーカー Berserker) is an advanced infantry class in Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem. They are an enemy-only class that uses swords. There is only one Berserker in Mystery of the Emblem, a generic enemy in Chapter 11 who wields the only Meisterschwert in the game. Compared to the Hero, the Berserker has higher maximum HP, strength, and defense, but lower skill and resistance.
In New Mystery of the Emblem, this enemy was changed to a Swordmaster.

Trivia
- The generic Berserker enemy has the unique name of きょうせんし kyōsenshi "Berserker". In Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem, the replacement Swordmaster shares the "sand clan" name used by all other human units on the map.
- Like the Mercenary and Hero, the Berserker takes bonus damage to the Swordslayer, but this cannot be seen without hacking the game as the Swordslayer cannot be obtained until Chapter 14, three chapters after the Berserker's only appearance.
