The Dark affinity (Japanese: 闇 Darkness) is one of several affinities present in the Fire Emblem series. In the GBA games, this affinity gives a decent boost to accuracy, avoid, critical, and dodge, which makes it a good option for improving fragile units. In the Tellius games, though, it is completely revamped, giving only a somewhat good boost to avoid and some points to attack.
The Dark affinity is present in The Binding Blade, The Blazing Blade, The Sacred Stones, Path of Radiance, and Radiant Dawn.

Trivia
- In both the Japanese and international setups, only one combination allows the Blazing Blade tactician access to this affinity: a birth month of August in both setups, additionally with a B blood type in the Japanese setup.
- According to Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance Memorial Book Tellius Recollection: The First Volume, Rajaion's affinity is dark. Rajaion's affinity was previously unknown, as he has no data as a unit in any Fire Emblem series game.
