The Mirage is an enemy-exclusive class exclusive to Fire Emblem Awakening. Mirages only appear in the leadup to the action of Paralogue 22; they act as stand-ins during the battle preparations phase in place of whatever characters the player may choose to deploy for the chapter itself.

All Mirages inherently bear the name ???, with the help text "Shadows of the self reflected in the Wellspring of Truth." Each Mirage has the same portrait, which does not lead into a battle animation when in a condition to click it to otherwise do so; this imples that the Mirage has no battle animations. In effect, this makes the Mirage class somewhat of a placeholder that's actually intentionally used within the game itself.

Once a Mirage has transformed itself into its target, it will inherit most of the properties of its target; however, its available weapon ranks will default to B, and its inventory will be allocated in the following manner:

Trivia

  • It is currently unknown what would happen if one were to deploy a Dread Fighter that possesses the Shadowgift skill; such a setup would be entitled to six weapons for five item slots. The reason this is unknown is that the Dread Fighter is a male-only class, whereas all current potential holders of the Shadowgift skill are female.
