Fire Sage (ファイアセイジ, Faia Seiji, or 炎の賢者, Honoo no Kenja) is a magic-using class that appears in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. Specializing in fire magic, as their name suggests, members of the Fire Sage class can also use thunder and wind magic. They are similar to the Sage class of previous games, but are one of many other such classes that appear in Radiant Dawn, the rest of which are the Thunder Sage, Wind Sage, Light Sage, and Dark Sage classes.
Fire sages are considered a promoted class, although they can change class to the Archsage class, and there are no playable fire mages. Therefore, they have stats typical of strong mage-type units, with high magic and resistance stats, but less impressive defense and strength stats. They can attack from one or two spaces away, and can also wield certain long-ranged tomes such as Meteor - this gives them some safety and utility in combat.
