Locations and Chapters

Are we creating separate location and chapter articles? Just curious. Thanks! Strategex 15:37, 16 October 2010 (MDT)

I think that would be what we're going for, but we probably can use the same image. Places like Lycia or Fort Renvall get used multiple times, so they'll have pages. I think? What do you think?
Also, I've made a location template; what else do you think I should add to it? Seritinajii 20:42, 16 October 2010 (MDT)
For the location template I would add what items you can buy at various armories and vendors. (If there are any) Also what characters/ items you can get at the villages and houses in the location. Strategex 21:54, 16 October 2010 (MDT)
Can you modify the location template to fit Chapter articles? So that it displays the locations name instead of the articles title? Specifically this. Thanks! Strategex 22:48, 16 October 2010 (MDT)
Why not a "chapter" template? Locations and chapters are separate, I think. I'll go make one, I think.. Seritinajii 07:03, 17 October 2010 (MDT)
...but then what would we need to include on that?
I don't know.... Strategex 19:06, 17 October 2010 (MDT)

Question. xD

Do you need a webcam to Skype, or is there just a chat too? Lol. Sorry, I don't own one. :P --MythOfLight 18:43, 26 April 2011 (MDT)

Alright, I've got a Skype now. .w. My username is the same as the one I have here. xD It's MythOfLight. --MythOfLight 10:06, 27 April 2011 (MDT)

Hi :)

Isla here. Thanks for the tips on editing, I know I really have to be more careful when typing and editing :)

  • Also, my computer has decided to reject Skype several times, but my computer doesn't like it (probably it is old and slow, so I may have to use my laptop at some point.)

I'm always happy to contribute to the wiki :) Isla 08:19 (server time), 07 August 2011

Skype

I don't think I can get Skype on what I use. Currently use a 3DS to type and edit articles. Don't have a computer that I can use either...

Oh, okay... well, I guess that's okay! Do what you can. Also, don't forget to sign after messages. Seritinajii 19:30, 18 September 2011 (EDT)

Natasha ending screenshot

Hi, I was wondering why exactly you removed my screenshot from the article's gallery when you said, "It's not a necessary image." --Natasha 18:22, 2 January 2012 (EST)

Well, what I meant is that I personally don't think that the image is required for the article. I'm do appreciate that you got the screenshot for the wiki, but since the ending is already on the page under the Ending section, as well as her in-game portrait in the Stats and Supports sections, I think it's not needed. Thanks for understanding! Seritinajii 18:25, 2 January 2012 (EST)
But isn't that what the purpose of a gallery is for? If this image doesn't work, then what images are supposed to go under the article's gallery? I only ask because I have screenshots of all the other characters' endings from Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones that I was going to upload to the wiki. --Natasha 18:57, 2 January 2012 (EST)
It's true that a gallery is for new images, but again, I don't really think we need the ending image when the others are there. It's true that we don't use it that much, but I seem to remember something about a new gallery template...? Thanks for raising this question, actually, I'll ask Aria and Jason about it in the Skype chat. Seritinajii 06:46, 3 January 2012 (EST)

Moving images

Hi again, I don't understand why you are moving some of the images that I recently uploaded when I was simply following the naming conventions of other similar images in the same category. --Natasha 18:57, 2 January 2012 (EST)

Well, here we have certain image naming standards. See Help:Naming images - specifically, the section for maps. Now, I know it says "Cm", but considering that these aren't really "chapter maps", I'm discussing changing the standard to "Map" in the Skype chat still... Thanks for the images, still! Creating Pages

How do I create a page? Casundrud (talk) 16:03, 21 August 2013 (UTC)

hello!! making a page is pretty simple. to do so, go to the URL of the currently-nonexistent page. for example, let's say you wanted to make the page for Luthier, a character from Gaiden. just go to the URL [1], which will send you to a page that currently doesn't exist. then, click on "edit this page".
however, if you're not able to do that, it's probably because you're not an autoconfirmed user - to prevent spamming by bots, we require users to have a certain amount of edits and to have had their account for a certain amount of days. specifically, 50 edits and 30 days... but that seems a little high to me, so I'll ask about changing it to a lower number, since I wasn't really aware of that until now. thanks for all your help! Seritinajii (talk) 23:02, 21 August 2013 (UTC)
I dropped the requirements to 4 days and 10 edits. We'll see if they need to be adjusted later. --Sove (talk) 23:32, 21 August 2013 (UTC)

Tab template

Hello, I've gone through a couple pages, and noticed that the tab template does not seem to work as it should. Does it show up successfully on certain browsers, or is it like this period? Hyper Zergling (talk) 00:15, 2 May 2014 (UTC)

I personally believe the tab coding as a whole is a wiki-wide problem. Moydow made an attempt to fix the tabs back in early March and failed. (To be honest, I personally thought the issue was a deficiency involving Internet Explorer 9 until that point.) --Shiningpikablu252 (talk) 01:29, 2 May 2014 (UTC)
I see. So if this is a wikiwide problem, do we just wait until it gets fixed? Hyper Zergling (talk) 02:11, 2 May 2014 (UTC)
Looks like it. Highly doubt anyone on the tech team will be able to make another attempt until at least May 3, when the tech team will have, at least as far as we know, wrapped up a wide schedule of maintenance work over multiple wikis. (The schedule is also why I didn't pester anyone directly concerning a blacklist issue that cropped up when updating Binding Blade chapter articles.) --Shiningpikablu252 (talk) 02:25, 2 May 2014 (UTC)

hi guys :) While I'm really not too sure what caused this template system to crash and burn, I have made a lot of progress towards fixing it! Its down to a somewhat minor issue remaining now, I've just gotta figure out how to fix it :P Dkpat (talk) 14:51, 4 May 2014 (UTC)

Asking for Skype

Hello, I just joined and would like to join the FE wiki Skype group chat. My username is "shadowfairies". Parzival (talk) 02:32, 9 May 2014 (UTC)

Seritinajii is rather busy at the moment, so I can add you instead. You'll need to accept my contact request before I can add you to the chat. --Moydow (Support) 21:51, 9 May 2014 (UTC)
HI SORRY!!!!! I'm still alive! ... it's pretty late tho orz. Seritinajii (talk) 22:38, 3 September 2014 (UTC)

Some dude messing up pages and advertising some computer site

See recent edits. Please get rid of them. L95 (talk) 00:04, 5 April 2015 (UTC)

Marshall

I altered the Marshall Page, as they actually have the second highest resistance among the non Magical classes in the game. I made a little comparison table below if you're interested. Emperor Hardin (talk) 19:46, 20 October 2015 (UTC)

I corrected the Resistance part. In Radiant Dawn, Marshalls have the Highest Resistance among the physical classes. Only Seraph Knight surpasses them.

For comparisons sake. Emperor Hardin (talk) 19:39, 20 October 2015 (UTC)

Game HP Strength Magic Skill Speed Luck Defense Resistance Movement Constitution Weapon level
Radiant Dawn
(Female Marshall Sword])
60 36 20 33 32 30 35 32 ? ? Swords SS Lances S Axes A
Radiant Dawn
(Male Marshall Lance: Tauroneo, Gatrie)
60 36 20 34 31 30 37 30 ? ? Swords A Lances SS Axes S
Radiant Dawn
(Male Marshall Axe: Brom)
60 37 20 35 30 30 36 30 ? ? Swords S Lances A Axes SS
Radiant Dawn
(Female Seraph Knight)
50 32 20 36 36 35 28 34 ?? ?? Swords S Lances SS

Wow! I didn't expect them to have such good resistance. I haven't actually played all of Radiant Dawn. Thanks a lot for clarifying! Seritinajii (talk) 20:04, 20 October 2015 (UTC)
No problem, it was a wise balancing decision to prevent Armored classes from being destroyed by double attacking mages. Its not just Marshall, all armored classes have high resistance in Radiant Dawn. For comparisons sake, most other physical classes have resistance at 25 or below in Radiant Dawn. On a different class related question, why are Fighters, and Axe Fighters counted as the same class, but Armor Knight, and Lance Armor Knight are counted as different classes?
