The Falcoknight (ファルコンナイト, Farukon Naito) class is a flying class that has appeared in many games of the Fire Emblem series. In the games that it appears in, it is the advanced form of the Pegasus Knight class.

Falcoknights can move quickly across far distances because of their ability to fly. They typically have high speed and resistance as their main strengths. They fight strongly and are usually quite sturdy, with higher resistance than defense. However, like all flying units, they are vulnerable to bows.

Pegasus knights do not always change class to Falcoknights; in other games they change class to dracoknights or wyvern knights. In Radiant Dawn, they then change class to seraph knights.

Their usable weapons vary across games; in Gaiden they could only use lances, like pegasus knights, in Seisen no Keifu they could use lances, swords, and staves, and in all subsequent games in which they appear (all games from Fuuin no Tsurugi on) they can use lances and swords.

The spelling also varies between games. The Japanese name is "ファルコンナイト", or "Farukon Naito", suggesting "Falcon Knight" or "Falconknight". However, "Falcoknight" is used in the English translations of most games. In Path of Radiance, "Falcon Knight" is used, and in Radiant Dawn, "Falconknight" is used.

Trivia

  • In Shadow Dragon, there are no enemy falcoknights. Additionally, a pegasus knight can change class to a falcoknight with an Elysian Whip, which can only be obtained in the internet store.
  • Falcoknights are an unused class in Thracia 776; in that game, the Pegasus Rider class replaces pegasus knights and the Pegasus Knight class is a promoted version of a pegasus rider.
