Haiku (Japanese: 五・七・五 Five-Seven-Five) is a skill which debuted in Fire Emblem Fates. The personal skill of Mitama, it allows the user to heal themselves and two adjacent allies for a small amount of HP at the start of the turn. The catch: There must be two adjacent allies, one right above the user, and one right below the user, and the allies recover less HP than the user does.

A haiku is a very short Japanese poem consisting of a total of 17 morae (syllables in English), divided up into three phrases (lines in English) in the pattern of 5-7-5. Mitama, the only user of this skill, is an avid composer of haiku. |
