Forseti (Japanese: フォルセティ Holsety) is a regalia wind magic tome introduced in Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. It is the holy wind spell once wielded by Ced of the Twelve Crusaders, created and bestowed upon him in his blood-bond with the dragon of the same name in the Miracle of Darna. It is the property of those of his lineage, the members of the Silesse royal family, and is restricted in use to those in possession of major Forseti Holy Blood.
History
Uniquely among the weapons of the Twelve Crusaders, the Book of Forseti is imbued with Forseti's own will and passion for the good of mankind, and so its human wielders come to inherit and wield Forseti's will as well as his power, a trait shared only by the Book of Naga. This usually takes the form of a strong influence by Forseti upon the wielder, guiding the wielder on a path to peace and prosperity for humans, but in some exceptional cases can manifest as outright possession by Forseti.[1] As a result of the influence of Forseti upon the tome's wielder, the holy blood lineage of Ced is named for Forseti rather than Ced himself, unlike the majority of Crusader lineages which are instead named for thier respective Crusader.[2]
In the Silessean civil war, after the successful recovery of Silesse Castle from Daccar's forces, Queen Rahna gave the Book of Forseti to her son Lewyn to allow him to assist Sigurd in his quest for justice. When Lewyn died in the Battle of Belhalla, Forseti revived and took possession of him through the tome. At some point afterward, the tome ended up in the hands of his son Ced*, who used it in his work as the leader of the Magi in Manster, and later in his participation in Leif and Seliph's liberation armies.

Trivia
- Forseti's English name was leaked in the source code of the Awakening official website's page on SpotPass when it was updated on February 4, long before the tome itself was available in the game.[3]
- Forseti is the only Crusader weapon obtainable by legitimate means in Thracia 776.
- By extension, Forseti is also the only Jugdrali Crusader weapon to appear three times as a regalia in the Fire Emblem series by legitimate means (Mjölnir made a third appearance in Fates, but downgraded there to non-regalia). Among all regalia, the only other non-Archanean regalia to match this total as regalia are Elibe's Armads and Tellius's Ragnell, Double Bow and Ashera/Goddess Staff.

References
- ↑ "Forseti was younger and held a higher level of good will and sympathy for the humans compared to other dragons. If he had the chance, he would even reside at Jugdral and protect the humans there. However, he was convinced by Naga that it was silly to stay, so he had no choice but to return to Archanea. Still, his passion and will was inherited strongly within the wind magic tome Forseti. For this reason, the humans who inherit the Forseti tome inherit Forseti's will as well as his power." - Designers' notes from a Genealogy of the Holy War playing guide, as translated by Serenes Forest
- ↑ "As for the other 10 weapons, when they pass on their power to their successors, they do not affect the user's personality. This is why within the Genealogy of Gods, there are 10 holy weapons whose name does not match up exactly with their god." - Designers' notes from a Genealogy of the Holy War playing guide, as translated by Serenes Forest
