Wight
It has been proposed that this page be split into Lich and Wight. Please discuss this change on the talk page or on Discord. Reason: Lich is Lich in English (Balrog is Deathgoyle though, so those stay merged) |

The Wight (Japanese: ヘルボーン Hellbone), known as the Lich (Japanese: リッチー Lich) in Fire Emblem Gaiden and its remake, is a class of undead monsters that appears in Fire Emblem Gaiden and its remake, Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, as well as The Sacred Stones. In Gaiden and Shadows of Valentia, the Lich class is a stronger version of the Skeleton class. Most units in this game have a default weapon that never runs out of uses, but the Lich class does not have a set weapon.[1] They are depicted attacking with a sword in their animation. In Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, there are two versions of the Wight class - one that uses swords and lances, and another that only uses bows. Shadows of Valentia's Wights are capable of wielding both swords and clubs.
Wights are an average class, since they are equivalent to a promoted class, but most monster classes tend to be quite weak. They have high HP, strength, and defense in Gaiden, but have very low other stats. In The Sacred Stones their stats are more balanced, although they remain at about the same level of difficulty. In all of its appearances, they can be defeated quickly with magic or just strong attacks.

Trivia
- In the prototype of The Sacred Stones, the Wight was called the ヘルスケルトン Hell Skeleton rather than the ヘルボーン Hellbone.
- In Fire Emblem Gaiden, Liches are classified as Bonewalkers, with Lich being the units' names. This trait is shared with the White Dragon, Entombed, Deathgoyle, Fiend, Aurum, Cerberus, Naberius, and Hades.
