Old Hubba has realized Chrom has returned to the space between Outrealms in order to save the destination Outrealm once and for all, then reveals he has good news and great news, asking Chrom what he wants to hear; Chrom notices Old Hubba's switched something around, then asks for the good news. Old Hubba reveals the good news to be that he's gathered all of the Einherjar the Shepherds defeated in those ruins, and if the Shepherds can beat them one last time, he can seal them back into their calling cards; Chrom then asks what the great news is, to which Old Hubba states that there's no army relying on the Shepherds this time--no allies to get in their way or die on them, just the Shepherds against all those legendary soldiers, to which Chrom mockingly states is fantastic. Battle preparations take place as it is revealed that the chapter's main setting is the Elibe-based Outrealm, with every lock in place.
Once preparations are finished, Soren reveals that all of their soldiers are in position, to which Ike states they should commence the attack, telling Soren to give Micaiah the signal and tell their other units to wait until their doors open, to which Soren states Ike should consider it done. Mia tells Ike it's not like him to be cautious, then asks him if it would be more satisfying to just storm at them the way they usually do, to which Soren states it's not if they want to assure victory, revealing that there should be an expert tactician among the enemy ranks; the formation Ike has planned this time can let them keep their movements secret until it's too late for the enemy--they won't know which doors will open or where to expect an attack from. Soren states that they first sow fear and confusion, then move in for the killing blow, to which Ike states their forces may outnumber the Shepherds, their group still has to be smart as to how they do things; Ike states that Soren's strategy will work and asks Mia if she understands, to which Mia agrees. Down at the southern end of the area, Soren tells Micaiah that Ike's given the signal, to which Micaiah calls her forces to move onto the attack; Micaiah asks Sanaki if she's ready, to which she states she is, calling everyone into the final battle that's upon them. Back with the Shepherds, Chrom states he senses trouble behind the doors, with the Avatar telling Chrom that there's enemies to the south heading their way; Chrom states that if there indeed are enemies behind the doors, with the Avatar stating they're between a rock and a hard place if this is true. Chrom notes that they're surrounded and wonders why the enemy wouldn't attack en masse, to which the Avatar states the enemy's probably waiting for the right opportunity, they might be planning to send wave after wave to whittle away their morale, with Chrom adding their strength will be whittled away in the process, stating that this will be a tough fight; the Avatar asks Chrom to look at things another way, the enemy is committing a major tactical error by funneling their forces, and as long as the Shepherds can stay calm and focused, they can pick off the enemy one unit at a time, to which Chrom states is a good point and adding that they may also get the drop on the enemy by opening the doors first, with the Avatar stating that Chrom is now thinking. The battle begins at this point.
After the first player phase, over in the center west chamber, Lyn asks herself why this fight feels so empty--their cause is just, defend this land against the invaders. After the first enemy phase, the north east door opens, to which Cecilia tells Zephiel that the doors have opened and that's their signal; Zephiel commands his group to commence their attack. After the second enemy phase, the center west door opens, to which Florina notices and says she thinks it's time, after which Nino asks her group to follow her. After the fourth enemy phase, the south east door opens, to which Seth reveals that the doors have opened, which Eirika has noticed; Eirika says it's time to make this battle interesting. After the fifth enemy phase, the north west door opens, to which Lilina tells Roy this fact, with Roy calling his group into action. After the seventh enemy phase, the center east door opens, Hector says the doors have finally opened and it's about time they did, to which Eliwood states that their group join the battle. Right afterward, the south west door opens, to which Lute notes and reveals the time has come, with Ephraim states he's tired of watching from the sidelines. After the eighth enemy phase, the far northern doors open, but without any dialogue from Ike's group.
Once the battle ends, the Avatar states that they've finally taken down the last of the enemy, with Chrom stating he thought it would never end and was almost ready to give up; the Avatar states he/she was also almost ready to give up, revealing that it was a pitched battle and they're lucky to have even survived. Chrom states that this realm can now perhaps finally enjoy a little peace and quiet, then tells the Avatar it's time to go home. The Avatar asks Chrom to wait, revealing he/she found something where their main force had assembled; Chrom notices it as an Einherjar card, "Lyn, Noblewoman of Sacae", revealing it must be Lyndis from the Elibean legends and the Shepherds could use someone like her on their side.
Back in the space between Outrealms, a conversation will then ensue between Lyn and the player, with the choices the player makes affecting what Lyn says next. At the end of the conversation, the player will then be given an offer to add Lyn to their active roster, which they can either accept or refuse. Afterward, the game gives the player a skill book that teaches the Iote's Shield skill.

Trivia
- Unlike in Lost Bloodlines 3, Old Hubba this time is indeed correct in saying all of the Einherjar from the previous battles in this specific Outrealm have been gathered in one place. This is primarily due to the combined enemy counts of Smash Brethren 1 and 2 equalling the enemy count of this chapter.
- This chapter is tied with Infinite Regalia as the highest-difficulty DLC chapter to have event tiles.
