Beach Brawl (Japanese: 楽園争奪戦 Competition for Paradise) is a downloadable content xenologue chapter in Fire Emblem Fates. Beach Brawl is part of the first series of DLC releases in all regions.
This chapter was first made available on July 23, 2015 in Japan; February 25, 2016 in North America; May 26 in Europe; and May 27 in Australia.
In this chapter, Corrin has won a ticket to a tropical island in the lottery—a ticket he/she does not want! As Azura has also refused the ticket, the remaining royalty of Hoshido and Nohr each team up with their retainers and fight using mostly novelty weapons in an attempt to win their leader the ticket to paradise.

Leo tells Xander that they're stuck, as Azura does not seem to want a particular item that they've been talking over; Xander states he's out of answers and asks if there was somebody that could step in. As if on cue, Ryoma appears on the scene and tells Xander that he can count on Hoshido to help if Nohr is in need, then asks Xander what he can do, with Takumi noting Xander's grim look; Xander notes Ryoma's and Takumi's consideration and reveals that he and Leo are in possession of something that threatens to divide their family. Takumi states they've arrived just in time, while Ryoma asks what is tearing Leo and Xander asunder and states he's willing to destroy the object; Xander reveals that the object is a ticket to a tropical island, and reveals Corrin is the source of their troubles yet again—he/she won the ticket in the lottery, yet refuses to go on vacation, with Ryoma noting Corrin's nobility giving up pleasure for duty. Xander states that the situation is vexing to the extreme, as Corrin has insisted one of his/her siblings take the vacation, and they've been having headaches figuring which of them should go on the vacation; Ryoma, stating that the Hoshidan royalty are Corrin's family as well, demands he/she take the vacation—prompting Xander to reveal that they've already tried that angle and states that Corrin never listens, that the other royalty have all made such terrible sacrifices thus they deserve the ticket more, a notion Ryoma finds ridiculous. Xander states he's glad Ryoma agrees, then demands Ryoma take the ticket, prompting a shocked reaction from Ryoma; Xander tells Ryoma the hot potato is now in his court, stating that no Nohrian royal has the time for a vacation, and Ryoma if anyone appears to have been born for life on a beach towel. Ryoma tells Xander he must be joking, that he's twice as busy as him and decides to pass the hot potato over to Takumi; Takumi states he doesn't want to waste time on a beach and attempts to make Leo go, only for Leo to state he'd rather sear his skin to a crisp in a well-stocked forge than get a tan, prompting a shocked reaction from Takumi.
Xander reveals that the four of them remain at an impasse, and they must now ask their sisters—stating that he doubts Camilla would go anywhere without Corrin and there's no telling what kind of trouble Elise could get into on the island; Ryoma states he fears Hinoka and Sakura are no help to him on his side either, thus Hoshido cannot help Nohr with their ticket predicament and states he admits defeat. It is quickly revealed that Leo's retainers, Odin and Niles, have been eavesdropping as they jump into the conversation, as Leo has to attempt to silence them—after which Xander's retainers, Laslow and Peri also jump into the conversation demanding Xander take the vacation after having themselves eavesdropped; Takumi states they'd never see that sort of shoddy service from Hoshidan retainers, only for his own retainers, Hinata and Oboro to reveal they've done the same and persuade Takumi to take the vacation, with Takumi asking why they were lurking in the shadows—getting responses from Ryoma's retainers, Saizo and Kagero in the process, with Ryoma asking why they couldn't stay out of his business. The four princes' retainers all then begin arguing amongst themselves in order to attempt to wrangle the ticket into their respectve liege's hands; all of the retainers get a word in before Xander tells Laslow he's overstepped yet again and asks Ryoma to do something—with Ryoma stating they're powerless in stopping this unfurling disaster. Xander declares that they will have a battle that pits Nohr against Hoshido, with Ryoma adding battles pitting brother against brother, sister against sister, and—horrified to have to state such—sister against brother; Xander states he'll never forgive Corrin for starting this tropical squabble, but if they must, to let the carnage begin.
- The remainder of this summary has been organized into tabs to each focus on a single royal/retainer team. An algorithm has determined to initally focus on Sakura and her retainers; select another tab to view a different royal/retainer team. (This same algorithm also determines the page quote at the top.) Refreshing this page may cause the algorithm to default to a different royal/retainer team as the selected tab.

Sakura states that she would like to go on vacation, but only if everybody was going, asking Subaki and Hana if anyone's worried about sending her to the island all alone; Hana states she is worried, stating that the whole trip must be a trap and that island must be overrun with pirates, after which Subaki states there's no need to worry—he's already patrolled the locale—he's flown over to the island to ensure that it's safe, and also reveals Sakura'll find a variety of tropical foods there as well, after which Sakura states she's a little interested. Hana states that if Sakura does want to go, they'll fight for that ticket; Subaki states that, while they're battling, he'll get to work on Sakura's vacation itinerary, to which Sakura thanks him and Hana. The battle begins at this point.
Once the battle ends, Sakura thanks Hana and Subaki for their help in winning, after which Subaki accepts and states he'll get her her vacation itinerary before she leaves, while Hana tells her to enjoy her trip; Sakura again expresses regret that Subaki and Hana couldn't come along, but promises she'll try to have a good time on her own.
Later, at the castle, Hana states she's been on edge ever since Sakura left, being used to being at her side, but states she hopes she's having fun eating tropical treats; Subaki appears and states he caught Hana in the nick of time, asking her what people would say if they heard her. Hana asks what was wrong with what she was saying, to which Subaki states they have a line they must never cross—they're loyal retainers, not sad puppy dogs, with Subaki telling Hana to remain professional; Hana thinks Subaki is trying to start an argument, stating she can be sad Sakura's not her and asks Subaki if he's sad as well, to which Subaki asks Hana to remain calm or he might not show her what he's carrying. Hana notes the paper, after which Subaki states it's a letter from Sakura; Hana asks when the letter arrived, with Subaki stating it just now arrived, delivered by a merchant named Anna and that Sakura also included a picture as well. Hana asks Subaki if he opened the letter, to which Subaki confirms but only so much as to verify its contents, after which he sought out Hana; Hana appears skeptical of Subaki's story, but states she thanks him if it's true, after which Subaki states they'll look at the picture. A CG image of Sakura eating a fruit bowl appears.
Hana notes that Sakura looks happy, to which Subaki states he planned her whole trip, right down to the dessert—he found a place that serves an unparalleled fruit parfait, and he's a reason Sakura's eating it; Hana tells Subaki he can't take credit for the dessert, but Subaki says he can—he was busy planning every detail, and the proof is in the letter, proceeding to read a passage. Hana asks Subaki when he found time for everything, but then simply states she's just happy that Sakura's happy; Subaki then states there's one detail in the picture that bothers him—the swimsuit Sakura's wearing is not the one he picked out, he picked out one with a floral print, and deduces the person who took his order must have gotten it wrong. After a giddy reaction from Hana, Subaki asks Hana if she had anything to do with this "travesty", to which Hana confirms—she gave that swimsuit to Sakura before she left; Hana deduces that Subaki tried to dress Sakura in a tablecloth, and believes even he'd admit Sakura looks good in her choice of swimsuit, to which Subaki reluctantly agrees, feeling like a failure in the process. After a little more banter, Subaki and Hana read more of the letter, which reveals accolades for both of them; Subaki asks Hana to put aside their little rivalry and smile for Sakura's sake, to which Hana agrees to the truce, with the both of them waiting to hear more from Sakura about the trip.

Trivia
- The ending to the Team Xander scenario depicts him holding a float in the likeness of Lilith, with it being stated that the float is due to the fact that he can't swim; this is in contradiction to Xander's B-rank support with Leo, in which Xander is stated to be a strong swimmer.
- The float depicted would go on to appear as an axe skill in Fire Emblem Heroes's Nohrian Summer update, the Lilith Floatie, wielded by a special variation of Xander.
