While she is intelligent, she lacks knowledge of many common social constructs, even being unfamiliar with the concept of a party prior to meeting the rest of the ''Cipher'' cast.

Personality

Niamh is stoic, logical, and does not say more than she must. She comes from a world overcome by and overflowing with Boundless Chaos, and is dedicated to studying it. While she is intelligent, she lacks knowledge of many common social constructs, even being unfamiliar with the concept of a party prior to meeting the rest of the Cipher cast.

She has a longstanding rivalry with Poe, and the two are stated to have fought viciously many times—fights which Niamh has stated are predicated on misconception.

Cipher

Even as she continues in her pursuit of wisdom, Niamh silently carries out research into Cipher. Her seminal monograph, “A Compendium of Cipher Decks,” is over 100 volumes in length, and by all accounts is still in print to this day.

Officially romanized as Niamh. A feminine given name from the Old Irish Niaṁ meaning "bright" or "radiant".
In Irish mythology, Niamh was the daughter of the sea god, Manannán mac Lir and one of the queens of Tír na nÓg, soon falling in love with the poet Oisín.
