“ | There is...a chance you could survive, but it is small indeed. You have bound your heart to those of many others in this world. If those bonds prove strong enough, they may yet keep you in this reality. However, not even a thousand human friendships surpass the dragon's grip. In truth, you will almost certainly cease to exist. | ” | — Naga |

To Slay a God/Script
At Origin Peak, Naga reiterates that her power is only enough to put Grima to sleep. Robin proposes an idea: because their heart is linked to Grima, if they were to land the final blow, that could kill Grima permanently. Naga confirms that such action would kill Grima, but it would likely kill Robin as well; Chrom shoots down the idea, determined to find another way to kill Grima. They are then spotted by the Grimleal lead by Aversa, and are forced into battle.
As the battle begins, Aversa taunts the Shepherds about Grima returning despite their efforts, but she is eventually defeated. Once the battle is over, Naga informs Chrom that Grima has a weakness on the nape of his neck, and that it is likely protected by many Risen. Chrom orders the Shepherds to ready themselves for the final battle against Grima as Naga prepares to teleport them onto his back.
Summary
The final battle looms, as does a choice: return Grima to his slumber with Chrom's sword or slay the dragon in exchange for Robin's life.

Trivia
- This chapter is one of few chapters in the game where the preparations theme does not play during that phase of setup. This is the only instance in Awakening where the music that plays during battle preparations is neither the normal theme nor the music from the previous cutscene.
