Bow fighters are useful units with quite balanced stats in both games, although their stats in ''Genealogy of the Holy War'' are higher. They are able to attack from two spaces away, making them able to attack without any damage back if the enemy is not holding a ranged weapon. The Bow Fighter (Japanese: ボウファイター Bow Fighter) class is a basic bow-using class that appears in Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War and Fire Emblem: Thracia 776. It is very similar to the Archer class from other games, but separate. However, they do not appear in any other games.
Bow fighters are useful units with quite balanced stats in both games, although their stats in Genealogy of the Holy War are higher. They are able to attack from two spaces away, making them able to attack without any damage back if the enemy is not holding a ranged weapon. However, since they only use bows, they cannot counterattack if attack from a directly adjacent space; therefore, keeping them in the front of an army can be very dangerous.
All bow fighters have the Follow-Up skill, which allows them an extra attack under certain conditions.
In both games, bow fighters promote to the Sniper class.
