Hayato
| ||||||||||||||||
|
“ | I'm not a child. I'm a grown man! | ” | — Hayato, annoyed at being called a child. |
---|
Hayato (Japanese: ツクヨミ Tsukuyomi) is a character in Fire Emblem Fates. A diviner from Hoshido's Wind Tribe and an orphan raised by the tribe's chieftain Fuga.
Biography
Birthright
Hayato makes his first appearance at the end of Chapter 8 where he is introduced to Corrin's army after they successfully overcome Fuga's challenge in the Wind Tribe Village. Fuga urges Corrin to recruit Hayato into their ranks, describing him as a skilled Diviner who is in need of real-world experience. Although initially hesitant due to mistaking Hayato for an ordinary child, Corrin is later convinced otherwise by Fuga's persuasions. Before Hayato departs with Corrin, Fuga urges Corrin to take good care of him, prompting him to, in a fit of annoyance, remind him that he is no longer a child. Hayato helps Corrin settle an age-old conflict shared between Hoshido and Nohr.
Conquest
Hayato appears as an enemy unit in Conquest's Chapter 20. He fights at Fuga's will, as Fuga wishes to test Corrin's worthiness to wield Yato. Fuga sends his best men alongside Hayato to test Corrin and allow passage through the Wind Tribe Village, and further into Hoshido.
Revelation
Hayato is one of the foes faced by Corrin's army during Fuga's challenge in the Wind Tribe Village during Chapter 9. Despite the effort staged by Hayato and his allies, they are eventually defeated, and the Wind Tribe is thereafter convinced of the sincerity of Corrin's intentions. Fuga then offers to provide aid to Corrin's army, only for Hayato to step forward of his own accord to volunteer himself. Hayato later helps Corrin to put an end to Anankos' machinations.

Analysis
This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience. |
Hayato, as a mage, has an extremely exaggerated growth rate. When he is a Diviner, he has a growth rate of up to 375, and after reclassing, he has a growth rate of 405 (Basara)/395 (Oni Chieftain). 65's luck and 40's defense allow him to even withstand two or three rounds of output, which is unparalleled among Hoshidan's mages. His strength of 35 and magic of 55 are equally matched, but his skill of 40 and speed of 60 allow him to chase most enemies without worrying about missing.
In terms of skills, excellent personal skill Pride allow him to increase damage by four to even eight points in each attack. As long as he arranges well, he can receive a buff of+4 damage throughout the entire process, which is enough to compensate for the ability disadvantage caused by his poor growth in magic and power. To maximize his personal skill advantage, his only ability that cannot pull his hips is speed, and what he lacks the most is speed. Some of his military skills that are useful include Magic +2, Rend Heaven, Quixotic, Tomefaire, Death Blow, and Counter.
In terms of career, Onmyoji and Basara (7 points of strength!) are recommended, while Oni Chieftain and Blacksmith are not recommended.
In Birthright, Hayato's situation is very unfortunate. In Chapter 9, there were only 6 magic and 7 speed. And after he joined, there were two chapters, one was where all opponents had a way to reach your room at the beginning, and the other had a vast number of spear fighters and ninjas. As a crispy mage, Hayato could only sigh with excitement. Of course, if Hayato's growth is relatively stable, then as a high-speed magic unit, Hayato has few opponents in Birthright magic, and the expected damage of Birthright in the later stage is much higher than that of Orochi and Sakura. At the highest difficulty level, Hayato's biggest feature is that compared to Sakura and Orochi, he can independently produce good output without relying on assistance.
In Revelation, although Hayato joined the review one level later than Birthright, his level was directly raised to level 9. Don't underestimate the level 8 gap. The 9 magic 13 speed in the ninth level is very excellent. Including personal skills and magic+2 and not weapons, it has 15 damage. It is one of the few units that can be hit by magic in the early stages of the Revelation. Hayato not only had a high initial ability in this line, but his biggest competitor Orochi joined later than him, and Orochi's performance was completely ruined by him except for catching. Therefore, he was the best mage before Leo joined in the Revelation - even after Leo joining, he was actually not inferior. Although there are many competitors in this line, Elise and Sakura's initial weapon level is lower than Hayato's, Leon joined very late, and Hayato often grows into the best mage in the player's army.
In summary, Hayato is the legal responsibility of the Birthright parental generation, and although its highlight performance is in Revelation, it is also a mage that can be used on any route.
Personality
This section has been marked as a stub. Please help improve the page by adding information.
As a young genius, Hayato hates being treated like a child by others. He has a very strong talent for magic and is therefore very arrogant, but he still works hard to learn. Nevertheless, he will also show a childish side, such as hating vegetables, liking sweets, and being very afraid of ghosts.
