Cyas (サイアス) is the illegitimate son of Alvis and his lieutenant Aida, the elder half-brother of Prince Yurius and Princess Yuria of Grandbell, an heir to House Velthomer, and a full-blooded descendent of the Crusader Fala[1]. Perceived as a threat to the Lopt Sect and its plans after his birth, Aida was murdered by Manfroy of the Lopt Sect while trying to protect him, and he was raised in secrecy by his grandfather Coen.
Cyas grew up to be a master tactician and, his identity hidden, was eventually appointed Velthomer's court archbishop, a position theorised by Coen to be able to protect him out of its high status. However, the rise of Yurius and the resurgence of the Lopt Sect cast this into doubt in spite of the trust and reputation he had among the Grandbell nobility. In time, he came to support and assist Leaf's liberation army in the Manster District.
