Help:IPA key

From Fire Emblem Wiki, your source on Fire Emblem information. By fans, for fans.
Revision as of 17:46, 16 August 2022 by PikaSamus (talk | contribs) (→‎Other characters: Personally I don't consider syllabic consonants to be phonemic)

This page is a key for International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) symbols. It does not prescribe what should be used by editors on pages.

The phonemes of both General American (GA, "standard" accent in the US) and Received Pronunciation (RP, "standard" accent in England) are shown here for reference.

A tilde (~) indicates variance depending on speaker.
