The Knight Lord class, known as the Lord Knight (ロードナイト, Roodo Naito) class in Japan, is a class that appears as a promoted form of the Junior Lord class in Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War or the regular Lord class in Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade. It is a horse-riding class that can use both swords and lances.

In the former game, the first main character, Siglud, starts out as this class; he is the only main character to start out as a promoted unit. The next main character of that game, Celice, starts as a Junior Lord and can become a Knight Lord. In Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade, only Eliwood can become a Knight Lord, either automatically after Chapter 29, in his story, or by regularly using a heaven seal after reaching level 10 in Hector's story, a slightly modified version of the original main story.

Knight lords are a very strong class with high stats in many categories. The Knight Lord class is both a promoted class and the class of main characters, which are factors that cause it to be very useful. Since it is on horseback, it can move very quickly across far distances. In general, the Knight Lord class is very effective for fighting and mobility.
